Yeah. This has been a couple years of pure BS. Don't plan on next year being a hell of a lot better.
Guess i might be wrong, but i plan on it being a hell of alot better.
Add Cojack, our young guys maturing a bit more, I really don't expect us being bottom 5.

It's almost like, dare I say it, Grigorenko is good at hockey.
I still have alot of hope for him, with me it started when he had his 2goal game, wasn't the fact he scored 2 goals but how he did it.
I see more and more passion with the kid, he seems to be one of few to be actually happy to be playing for the sabres lately.

He was scoring those in the minors and setting himself up for those up here. It's just that up until now, no one had ever given him the puck.
Hog-son is a good name for him lately. I know Teddy has asked him to shoot more, but I can't count the number of times he's shot or carried when he could and should have moved the puck to Grigorenko.
Get Grigs off his line. Please.
I thought we had a good line with stewart, grigs and hodgson during preseason ... allthough stewart has been getting better, hodgson just seems to get worser and worser.
I saw grigs get himself open for a shot couple of times, especially when hodgson was actually making a play towards the net, grigs was just standing there alone at the other post waiting and waiting.

Varone just doesn't have the body to play in the NHL.
Don't get me wrong i like the kid, but he needs to talk to gionta.
Can't stop watching that one timer from grigs though, its one of the best things i have seen someone do on this team for over a month.

can we re-sign Enroth. I love a goalie that will break his stick and also who can play the way he does. Don't know why but love that guy.
Always like him to, maybe not a starter, but he can win games for us.

Grigorenko is the best player on his line by far.
Defensively one of the better forward on the team for couple of games now.

Unbelievable hockey game, one of the best I've ever seen. Reinhart absolutely tore this tournament up! Awesome to see!
Lets hope he bulks up so he can stay with the big boys next year.

Do you trade Myers or the 3rd pick for that elite winger if possible? Or do you attempt to trade down to 4th or 5th and pick the next best forward? Is Hanifin that much of a sure thing that he is taken over the 3rd best forward in the draft, a much bigger need for the Sabres? Or trading Myers and plugging Hanifin in his place? Just wondering as I don't really know.
I would just take the best player available, and that is hannifin. Allthough strome and marner are very good, i consider Hannifin to be a better option to take.
It does make Myers expendable, flyers / new jersey / colorado might trade their 1st round + couturier / matteau ( really don't know what i'd want from NJ) / talbot for myers then.
It would put them with their backs agains the wall, all 3 need defense and only kylington left in top 10 then.

My opinion is, Timmeh doesn't need to be very active at the trade deadline.
out of our UFA's, stafford / enroth are our best guys who might get us 1st rounders in return.
stewart won't net more than a 2nd rounder, doubt anyone wants meszaros or benoit or neuvirth.
He should wait what pick we get at the draft, if its for cojack, you don't trade myers, if you end up having to pick hanifin, myers should be traded for an elite winger.

I'm all in favor of making him go away but I can't help thinking he's more a symptom than a problem.
I'm with ink on this, Hodgson will never carry a team, but on a good team he would make a good piece.
except well, his defense still sucks so hard, and if he isn't putting up points then he is really useless.

@DaveDavisHockey: Per @FriedgeHNIC just now, the Sabres & Wild are denying reports that they've discussed a deal that would send Jhonas Enroth to Minnesota.
I haven't seen a single word of it... Interesting, though.
At this point i don't want to see enroth leave, he is our most capable goalie we got, unless Timmeh throws the checkbook at Niemi during teh summer.

To be honest i always liked Roy, but he never should have been a 1C, he can excell as a 2C though.
