I'm going to continue to say that he'll retire as a Sabre until it comes true.

I was chuckling over that the other day. The thing is, he really is the best fit on the ice of anyone available.
Yeah and we are allowed to resign him, and allthough he did mail it in last year, he never disliked being in buffalo i think.
With all the ROR to buffalo rumours, i'll make a new projection for next season. Guess all the guys who prodicted kane and ROR in buffalo must feel great around now.
Ennis will be gone in a trade for ROR for sure.
Girgensons and moulson might swap places though. To be honest its hard to keep envisioning a place for Gionta on this team.

Getting ROR will make us tougher to play against, so murray is bound to be in on him.
And if we want to protect our future 1C and Reinhart, ROR is a must have. But losing ennis might sting a bit as well.
Don't think Grigorenko and 1st will get it done, that would be a steal.
I'd offer Stewart 3rd line money for 3 years. And we can beat the out of the bruins :D

I too have always liked Reggie -- but he will cost a lot and I'm dubious that GMTM likes him enough to make that kind of commitment to him.

I'd be happy if we can get erikson from boston. They seem to be eager to "dump" him.
late 1st + stewart and maybe a low lever prospect should do it i think.
Anything more we should turn to the UFA market and get williams to round out our top 6.
Kane - Mceichel - erikson would be a nice 1st line.
Oh yeah agreed. It's just really tough to predict the offseason trades that GMTM will make with any certainty, since I am confident it will be for a name that few have on their radar. I will say that it will probably be for a player in a similar mold to Evander Kane, i.e. good size, talented player coming off a down year that has shown top line skill in the past. People around here will be shocked by the price of giving up our prized prospects, but in GMTM's world, there are only 12 deck chairs out there for the forwards, and he'd rather have some talented ###### fill those seats than Compher/Bailey/Fashing all sitting in the same chair.
Way I see it, we need a top line RW opposite Kane and McDavid for the first line. This is the trade above.
Second line is set at Moulson, Reinhart, Ennis. Ennis is a little small, but has shown the talent to make up for it. Could be a spot for a Justin Williams who I believe is GMTM's type of player.
Third line is traditional checking/shutdown line. Any number of Zemgus/Foligno/Gionta/Grigo etc will fill this.
Fourth line is the agitator line, with Deslauriers types down there.
So here's what we're missing in GMTM's world. Bold is acquisitions and italics are possible upgrades.
Kane McDavid #1 RW
Moulson Reinhart Ennis
Foligno Girgensens Gionta
Deslauriers #4 C #4 RW
Bogosian #1 RHD

These Oilers shootouts are so nerve racking. They had 9 different players shooting with the game on their stick before one finally scored. It was just like the one against the Sharks (except the one round in that game where both teams scored.) Two big points, though.

From a skill set, he was actually ranked in the top ten in both run and pass blocking by Pro Football Focus in 2013 before he was released. That being said his behavior in locker room and his use of the N Word in any context have no place in today's society
I think you are wrong, i think the use of the N word still has a place in todays society, just don't be white when using it :p

I'm simply awestruck by the sheer amount of empty seats every game in Florida, even when they play the top teams. And they're doing very well this year. With that type of fan support, I wonder how they can pay anybody. Maybe they can take Kessel to Quebec City or Las Vegas but I don't see the franchise staying in Sunrise. It's dead Jim.
They'll move to Quebuec , arena is already built for it :D

Not a fan of making a winger our highest paid player by a wide margin for the next 5 years?
Just not willing to pay the high asking price for him that is all.
Kane was somewhat affordable and he could turn into the scoring machine kessel now is.
For kessel we will have to break the bank and any trade for him will start with ennis/kane/girgensons and i want no part of that.

If I were the leafs and I were trading Kessel to Buffalo... Zemgus, Risto, Something either Hodgson or a Prospect like Baptiste, and a 1st. If I were Tim Murray I would not do that deal. Phil Kessel is worth more currently than Evander Kane and that deal took a quite a few large pieces.
Only way i want kessel coming ot buffalo if the leafs buy him out :p
It just isn't happening the price tag would be way to high on this one.

What i think is , myers will be great for the jets as a #3 D, he can put up alot of points against softer opposition.
Bogo - gorges will be able to take down the top line for us while Risto - zadorov get it easier as well.

No F'n way we ice a team at the beginning of the season with 4 rooks at center.
And it is fairly common for a rookie center to break into the league at wing. I expect at least one of Reinhart and Grigo to start the season at wing, and I wouldn't question it at all if McEichel got his start on a wing.
Yeah i was thinking the same, but i just can't see grigorenko fit on the wing.

Grigorenko and his faceoff skill should remain there, but in the end he most likely is involved in the RoR trade anyways. But with so many centers i really didn't bother with who plays what.
