  1. Ennis - Mcdavid  - Girgensons

    Kane - Reinhart - Stewart

    Moulson- Grigorenko - Hodgson

    Deslauriers - Larson - Foligno

    Flynn - McCormick

    Bogosian - Sekera (maybe erhoff)

    Ristolainen - Zadorov

    Gorges - Pysyk

    Weber

    Niemi

Makarov (or neuvirth on a one year deal)

we are weak on RW.  LW and center looking good though.

Most might think Grigorenko as 3C might not happen, but i can see it happen very much.   Solid at faceoffs and already showed he is good on defense.

Can't see Zemgus remaining as center within all this though, or they move out grigorenko brining in a top 6 RW.

Baptiste - Bailey - compher will be our RW in the future anyways.

  2. Quick who is better, Miller or Enroth?!

Talking about goalies, anyone found anything on jason kassdorf ? you know the 3rd piece we got back in this trade :p

Thanks for the link. Enjoyed the article as well as a couple of the adjacent articles. Apparently, five teams were in the bidding for Kane, including the Canucks, who didn't want to give up the asking price. Kane has some growing up to do, but I get the impression he'll work his ass off on and off the ice to get where he wants to go. I'd be far more worried if he didn't have that drive vs. his immaturity in other areas. He's got "hockey character" already. Let's hope the rest of him arrives with a little growing up as the adjacent article about Patrick Kane alludes to.

    GO SABRES!!!

The canucks and their shallow prospect pool couldn't afford to pay the price.

  3. It's also worth noting his inflated shooting percentage and how much of his scoring has been on the power play. There's little indication at this point he'd be a top-6 player in the NHL.

No but it was noted when he was drafted that he was a PP specialist, something this team could really use.

But the only thing that stings in this deal a bit is you give lemieux + armia.    That being said murray felt comfortable in doing so because we got a great pipeline of young players coming up and still a shitload of draft picks in the next two drafts.

In the end you can't keep them all because you only get to have 50 contracts, its nice we packaged these up for high end nhl ready talent.

In the end we got a guys in bogosian who is tougher than myers and gets to play for his favourite team, this guy won't dissapoint i think.

And a top line winger for Reinhart or Mcheihel as soon as next year.   I can't wait till next year, im very excited.

  4. http://www.buffalonews.com/columns/bucky-gleason/for-newcomer-bogosian-buffalo-feels-like-home-20150212

Well atleast Bogosian gets to play for the team he wants to be with

Zach Bogosian’s stomach turned Wednesday after he was pulled into a room and told he was traded, but only for a brief moment. The veteran defenseman was still digesting “you have been traded” when he heard “to Buffalo.” He was hardly devastated. If anything, he was thrilled. No, really.

“You don’t know what to think. Everything happened so fast,” Bogosian said Thursday while riding in a limousine from Toronto. “Once I heard ‘Buffalo,’ everything kind of clicked. I immediately thought of how close I would be to home and get a chance to play in front of my family and friends.”

Bogosian had been to the region enough times over the years to appreciate the place. He always had a soft spot for Buffalo and was excited after he was included in the seven-player swap with Winnipeg. He embraced the idea he would become a key figure on a team that can only get better.

  5. Well im drunkie, read this deal was done when i had my 3rd beer.

I haven't read any twitter or any comments, but these are my sentiments.

this deal you can split twoways.

Myers > bogosian, at this point yeah, this might change, and i guess timmeh wasn't so high on tyler as me,  but kasdorf  might level this thing out.

Kane for stafford Armia, lemieux and a 1st.   well this feels alot like overpaying and to me lemieux might sting the most, Armia wasn't really lighting it up, and lemieux is still 2 - 3 years away.

We might have overpayed but in the end, we have a possible top RW next year for Reinhart/grigorenko alone, and maybe even Mceichel.

stafford is a throw in to help the jets right now.

This is the kind of deal we all been waiting for , yes we give a lot of our prospect pool, but i think, with fashing, bailey, baptiste, compher we should be fine on our wing, and this is what timmeh must feel like.  Yes its a gamble, and it depends on kane becoming a true #1/#2 line RW.   but he is NHL rdy, and hope he has alot to prove.

Bogosian to be honest, i don't see him taking more than the #3 spot along with gorges, but still he has experience, he shuts down well, and while risto and zads might be bright offensively bogosion-gorges can shut down the #1 line of the other team for sure.

Good trade, and it will help the Tank, especially since Kane is out for the season and will contribute nothing until fall.  I just couldn't see Myers or Stafford being part of a team making a serious run at the Cup in a couple seasons.  We've seen everything those guys have under the hood, and it isn't championship caliber stuff.

I could with myers, but we'll see what he does on another team.   I know we are all excited, but we'll have to wait untill next year, and timmeh got this deal done, mostly under the radar and got infront of the pack.   That is just respect from me.

  6. Deals that large almost never happen.

That said, Bogosian fills Myers spot in the lineup.

After that, it's essentially Kane and a mid-first for four late firsts/early seconds

Meh i don't like seeing lemieux go, Also bogosian at best will be #3 D  wich to me is myers bottom on a good team.

  7. They will regret lemiex and armia especially to get a headache that is more interested in cash than winning .

    Any myers ? Unreal

Rather have Larkin and keep our two possibilities

Also myers > bogosian , then you give a way armia + lemieux + stafford + 2 nd rounder, for a one time 30 goal scorer.

I'd do  stafford + late 1st rounder + Armia but that is about it.

  8.

This is buffalo1000, I have told about the tallinder trade and a few more before they have happened. This trade is ready to happen, sabres will announce tomorrow if they make the trade. Winnipeg has already signed off

    Tyler myers

    Drew stafford

    Joel armia

    Brendan Lemieux

    2nd rounder

    For

    Evander kane

    Zach bogosian

    1 st rounder

I guarantee you this has been presented and up to sabres to agree

    - Buffalo39

someone on hockeybuzz throwing this around, i think we overpay if this happens.   armia  + lemieux is nuts.

  9. I think if Murray wants him, he will pay that price.

Maybe I'm reading too much into the Fasching deal, but I think Murray has no problem getting aggressive for a guy he wants.

It might not be this one, but I fully expect him to make a trade soon that Darcy never would and one that we might have trouble swallowing.

Except they aren't available right now. We wanted an aggressive GM and I think we are going to see one in action.

we'll see him at the draft, when he knows if he has #1 #2 #3 pick.

  10. Again, I don't understand the argument that he would not also be in the top four on other teams. He's well within the scoring range and his numbers reflect that if anything he'd be even more solid in a top four role on a team that isn't the Sabres.

He's almost definitely a top four defenseman on a team that actually has an offense.

I'm with you on this, i can't see him spending time in the AHL next year, not like Murray will pull 4 NHL ready d-men that are better than him out of his hat in the summer.

  11. The flip side is your working when everyone else is off. Only in places like Buffalo (bars open til 4) and NYC does this work.

Yeah and try finding people to go out with you on a monday or tuesday.

Told my buddies, oh you expect me to go out boozing till 05.00 am on a weekend that im working but then you go out with me on monday to :p

  12. Being from Winnipeg, let me be the first to tell you, we do not want Kane. Since the thrashers relocated I have wanted this guy gone. As far as the asking price, I don't care what issues he has(he has many), Chevaldayoff is a strong believer in the jets core. Take a look for yourself at what he has done. Virtually nothing of value. A few waiver pickups and minor trades. Kane is having season ending surgery. The jets players, management and fans would all like to see this guy gone tomorrow, but give your head a shake if you think your getting him for any less the Moulson and a 2nd. I am not saying we should pay that, but a scoring winger is what it will take to get him, and the sabres are in no way shape or form able to pay that. Even if he pulls a Seguin, which he very well could, I still don't want him.

To be honest, don't think i want a guy on this team who tweets himself doing push ups with a pile of cash on his back.

  13. Or he gets sat for reasons that have nothing to do with what we see on the ice. I understand the love affair that is going on with many of you and Zadarov but don't be surprised if he is one of the "wow" pieces in a trade. Totally just a wild guess here but I think the kid may have serious work ethic issues.

well he is a kid, i'd expect him to have work ethic issues, certainly seeing his playfull attitude during games :D
