Makarov had been the only one I've seen with a NHL future
Was just about to say the same, Ullmark isn't having a good season.
Lieuwen is sucking as well, and johansson i don't know much about.

The more i see Eichel play, the more i think he'd be a better fit with us then Mcdavid. But at this rate we'll be lucky to draft Hanifin.
That being said, come trade deadline im not expecting much, our UFA's might get unloaded, kis will come up to replace them.
At Draft day i think murray might be the biggest dealer out there.
I also like these guys in the UFA market this summer.
Sekera <--- might not be opposed to coming back
Soderberg <--- is the guy i know the least about, is already 29 with only 2 NHL seasons, might be a risk. But we can drive the price up a bit for boston :D
justin williams <--- some more leadership might not hurt us
Niemi <---- solves our goalie situation
Foligno <--- i'd give him 4 - 5 mill but not more, hell he should take hometown discount :P

Myers, Pysyk, Enroth, Grigo, and a #1 might get it done. They add Nurse to the equation and suddenly their D isn't so bad.
Now the question is do we do that deal? I say yes.
Moves like that you only make after the season when you know where in the draft you are at.
You don't trade Myers if you don't get hannifin,
You don't trade Grigorenko if you don't get Eichel/Mcdavid.
Grigorenko is our most rdy natural center for top 6 we got, i doubt reinhart will be physically ready next season.

To behonest Deslauriers makes the trade with LA already even, if fasching makes it to the NHL its a trade we win.

Don't agree with Grigorenko. He needs more development.
I want him and Armia both to rack up some more points in the AHL , they can join us after the trade deadline.

I think you're seeing what you want to see, something we're all guilty of at one time or another. He doesn't look too out of place but I can't say he's elevating the play of others around him.
Oh i haven't seen a game all week, just guessing :P

Lots of people still working during day on 24th here, so family had sense to come together on 25th.

I've liked Grigorenko's game. His skating is so far improved. He is sound positionally and is making some good plays. I really hope he makes it.
Yeah i was hoping he would excell with stewart and hodgson, but they are playing better because of him it seems.

hah i was wrong with my spelling to its Dekeyser, im sometimes surprised how many dutch/flemish names are playing the NHL.
Verbeek is pretty common over here, Van Riemsdyk, nieuwendyk, yzerman, ysebaert , versteeg, van der gullik.
Vandevelde, dehaan, steen, hamhuis, brouwer, postma.
Guess it shouldn't be to surprising seeing detroit still had a dutch newspaper untill few years back.

There are a few guys that are untradeable for me.
Risto, Zadorov, Gorges, Myers or Pysyk.
only one of enroth or neuvirth should go, i prefer to keep enroth.
Ennis, Moulson, Zemgus,
Grigorenko to, besides me being a fanboy, he still is the only thing we got at center with top 6 potential that is developped physically.
And like said, we don't need to make any moves at the deadline, unload our UFA and see what we get out of our kids.
Lets say we get that #3 spot and pick hanifin, then you trade myers for hall. :P

I should have posted with an emoticon. He seems like a good pick, a lot of fans were hoping for another player (euro I think). Maybe the team got it right.
Barbashev is proving to have 1st line potential while lemieux is becoming a Powerplay specialist, i guess we needed the later more.

The fans aren't the ones who shoved him into the starting line-up and kept him in the NHL long enough to burn the first year of his entry-level deal. They aren't the ones who made him the face of the franchise in Summer 2012. And they aren't the ones who started selling Grigorenko jerseys by Day 2 of the 2012 draft.
Darcy and Black wanted to make a statement about how they were building from the center and how they had a plan. Grigorenko hype didn't start with the fans; most fans were down on him by the time the 2012 draft happened.
I always had high hopes for him and was hoping he would slide down but never expected it. Wich made me think what is wrong with him ? but still to good to pass up at #12 of that draft.

Probably like crap seeing he doesn't have any game experience , If im coach i play orton against one of the better teams in the league.
Don't want the kid to lose any more confidence :P

With injuries, we're throwing out a ridiculously young team for this game. Average age of the 20 we'll dress tonight is 25:
- Forward average age = 24.8 (without Gionta 23.9)
- Defense = 25
- Goalies = 26
By way of relative comparison, that's over a year younger than the next youngest team and over 2.5 years younger than the league average.
We got the future :D
