  1. You really aught not to worry at this point in the year. Carolina will get their good players back and win plenty. Root for the Sabres to beat the ###### Leaves.
  2. The return of we wont finish last Robviously is triumphant! Don't worry, we will.
  3. I don't really understand how that would help us. Sabres should pick BPA every pick. We don't need the teenagers we pick now to be accelerated, we have enough talent in the pipeline as it is.
  4. Don't draft the best hockey player available, draft the most organizationally convenient players.
  5. :P I agree. I'm assuming you're not up to date on the last few pages of this thread.
  6. Why? They won!
  7. Stafford and Stewart breaking out. lol
  8. I remember the first Bills training camp I ever went to: rookie Eric Wood came over and started stretching 5 yards away from us. He was wearing #69, and some guys started hooting about it. He chuckled and said the equipment managers promised they'd add one if he had a good camp. That was the first time I'd ever seen an NFL linesman close up. Man is huge. And he looks like Therman Merman.
  9. Holy ######. That makes his stats look crazy! Has there ever been a player with infinite goals per game before?
  10. TrueBlue is right and we should be saying Marrone/Hackett. The only way a head coach would put up with this play calling is if it was his decree.
  11. I am anything but a pessimist for pessimism's sake. A few seasons ago, I predicted Drew Stafford to score 35 goals. You're right that the biggest danger of throwing more was Orton taking more hits, but the reason he got pressured so bad was that they knew exactly when we were going to throw it, when we had to. An offense needs to develop rhythm so they can keep their defense off the field. You can celebrate crushing the abysmal Jets, but I see another season of no playoffs, so I can't really get my blood up.
  12. I Really like the two Buffalo-related excerpts from the NFL.com article about the game. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000417833/article/sammy-watkins-buffalo-bills-crush-new-york-jets 4. Bills fans can -- and should -- complain about the ultra-conservative play calling from their coaching staff. The Jets are so obviously hurting in the secondary, but the prevailing option seemed to be forcing the ball to Anthony Dixon, whose longest carry of the afternoon was 5 yards. This game didn't need to be close after the midway point of the second quarter. 5. Sammy Watkins is incredible. He had gains of 84 and 61 on Sunday and a touchdown, but the one thing everybody will remember was the score that didn't happen. As polished of a product as he is, Watkins learned the hard way that he can be caught from behind. If nothing else for the Jets, the tackle by converted safety Saalim Hakim can be on Rex's hustle reel on Monday.
  13. You missed my point. We won, yes, but our offense needs to be able to fire on all cylinders if we're going to be legit contenders. If our offensive players get it ingrained in them that the defense will pick up the slack and constant production isn't necessary, then we're bringing about our own demise. It's Dick Jauron coaching with more talent on the field.
  14. 1 for 9 on the first 9 3rd down conversions. We picked up another two 3rd downs in garbage time to bring the game total to 3 for 12 7 points off 4 1st half turnovers. The average start for the 4 drives was midfield. 40% of Kyle Orton's completions were touchdowns, yet we only attempted 17 passes. We averaged 2 yards a carry and ran it 29 times. That's systemic wussery, and it'll hurt his team in the long run.
  15. The first half of the season is the only time Bills fans can be concerned over wild card standings.
  16. You're a baller.
  17. Weave, how do you really feel about the tank?
  18. That's what the announcers said. I wonder if there are stadiums that don't have live playback, or only have screens on one side. The lesson Sammy chose to learn was "look before you celebrate like a dork." instead of "Don't be a dork."
  19. The second time, he at least looked back.
  20. I'm thinking someone at the BN got scooped by Smell.
  21. I was just looking at the drive chart. Only 3 times in the entire game did the Bills not run it on first down. In the second half, Hackett ran the run-run-pass pattern 6 times in a row. wow
  22. We have so freakin' many of them it's almost a given.
  23. I can't ever see this coaching staff winning a playoff game. No killer instinct.
  24. I'm gonna have an aneurysm.
