https://twitter.com/...322562785513472 Fire Marrone right now. He thought that with 9 minutes left in the game, if we punted that each team would have 3 possessions. I'm hoping he just misspoke because that makes no sense. His tone in answering the second question. Wow.

Yep. And you're probably right that 30% is high, I've just got good chemicals flowing around my body from the news about Rick. -
Jeanneret Diagnosed with Throat Cancer

It's a hunch based on experience I shadowed in the cancer ward a lot my senior year of high school. The nurses there were incredibly gung ho about outlook being a big factor. I thought they were probably just good at their jobs, but my teacher (who used to be a nurse) was similarly insistent that it was true. When I got a couple afternoons with the oncologists, they said that it hasn't been directly linked to survival rate, but all agreed it played some role. One of them seemed to lean more towards the nurse POV. My Dad (doctor) believes it too though, so I believe it. Those patients were the coolest people ever. So much better than sitting in a class room. -
Bills can still trade up into the mid first to grab a QB. I'd like for a 1st or 2nd rounder, a vet, and EJ to be competing for the job in camp. What is it? Mid November? That's about average for the first "next year" thought. <_<

Jeanneret Diagnosed with Throat Cancer

Responding to cancer treatment is probably somewhere around 30% based on the outlook of the patient. The desire to call the Sabres in the Finals will keep him going until Eichel and co are all 23/24. -
Write a Sabres caption for this picture!

What a waste to have so much talent on the roster. I really hope we somehow find a QB before these guys are gone.

I don't have the grit to lala all first period so I'm going to make a loop of you saying it and blast it on my speakers. Rick! Calling a game! :) :) -
They're going to sleepwalk HARD through the next couple. They'll still win a couple before the end of the season to make us not feel so bad about giving pick #13 to the Browns.

I believe that the Bills would've continued to not score touchdowns the whole game. So yes. I remember Marrone spewing all that jazz about how we were going to run so many offensive plays per game that defenses will fall apart getting tired. The only defense getting tired is ours.

After the intentional grounding the Bills got the ball on the Dolphin's 30 and converted that into 0 points. The PI was terrible, but the Bills were even more terrible in every way. He's had a nice stretch of mediocre for us and now he's regressing back into bad. So ends another journeyman's stint in Buffalo.

Refs were terrible, but the Bills weren't winning that game even if it got called straight. Doug Marrone is just another Jauron. Aye.

Punting with 9:30 to go when you're down by 10. That's the Bills season this year. Outcoached again, and Orton had the fear in him. DOUG MARRONE: YOU'RE ALLOWED TO TRY TO SCORE TOUCHDOWNS BEFORE YOU'RE DOWN BY 10. YOU ARE IN FACT ALLOWED TO SCORE TOUCHDOWNS EVEN WHEN YOUR TEAM IS AHEAD. Try one deep bomb, Sammy is wide open, never try another. Yeesh.

I am a spoiled brat. Some heavy stuff today. I hope you can relax soon, Bio and Josie. Your complaints remind me of my mom, who also never stops. Works a tough job, volunteers, and supervises my gramma's care. Dennis, really sorry about your friend. I'm sure your co-workers will understand. Good on you for helping his parents through it. That's tough. d0rk, get your melon looked at! Feel better. shrader, good luck.

I wanted to watch McDavid play with Reinhart. That's my only disappointment.

Is that video working for anybody else?

TM can still trade for somebody, which will happen before next year. And I wouldn't bet on either McDavid or Eichel struggling next year. Pretty much all professional sports are like religion.- 311 replies

Too bad McDavid was the only forward at top of the draft and a broken hand means he will never play hockey again! Oh wait you might be setting up a clever little jape, so I shouldn't call out the nonsense. The Molehill that Rides!

Hodgson, Moulson, and Gionta are all terrible, but they weren't last season. Hodgson and Moulson are trying really hard and finishing checks, they're just not effective at it one bit. I think part of the reason why Hodgson looks so bad (other than him being a wiener) is that Nolan thinks all he needs to do his try hard and he'll be a good player. Moulson's game as a finisher is really hard to watch when there's nobody on the roster to feed him. Tough game for Myers last night. Never once looked settled after he lost Gorges. OTOH, the Zadorov Ristolainen pairing single handedly made the game watchable. Mike Weber played tough and solid all night. He looked like Backes against Backes a couple times. Maybe Weber just plays terrible every other year. Final thoughts: Nikita gave me a ###### and Gus needs to fight people more.- 311 replies

According to Tank in the draft thread, McDavid went off with the trainers afterwards. They were looking at his hand. So much for picking your battles, gotta punch helmets.

This seems to have always been a problem for the Bills. I hang it on coaching, but it's definitely a fair criticism of Hogan. The coaching staff had trouble accommodating Stevie Johnson. Maybe they don't like receivers unless they're humble/rooks?
