    Egging a poster on to sneakily take crewp pictures of a bartender takes it to another level. A lot of posters (myself inclduded) take pride in this board being "better" than other places on the internet. Reading this thread today really disappointed me. As for posters saying it was creepy at the time, it was generally in the tone of "creepiness is okay." Hell, even TBJ said that it was creepy and kept on posting pictures. It's distressing that I'm the only person that's speaking up about having a problem with this.

    I take issue with what TBJ did on any level, not just in the context of a message board. The fact that he was being egged on really sickened me. I thought this board was a little more mature than that.

    Oh, and on Dunleavy: it's not just the goal calls, he's just a bad pbp guy. He's consistently behind the play and frequently goes out of his way to paint a more vivid picture of what happened 5 seconds ago that he failed to communicate the first time. I don't think it's an issue that can be solved with "seasoning" in the job, he's just not fast enough.

    McGinn puts in a great effort and has good offensive instincts. Larsson puts in great effort, is stronger along the boards, and has excellent defensive instincts. They're both solid 3rd liners, but I give the slight edge to Larsson. Plus, he's a better fit on this roster.

B- If there is a defender in your way, chip it too far up the boards and turn over the puck. So, how long until Foligno disappears again? His career to date has generally been 5 good games followed by 15 games in which he's invisible. Such an un-heavy play by ROR on the Galchenyuk goal. That was brutal. Sick play by Zemgus to assist on the Foligno goal. He cleanly picked the puck away from the man behind him, and then put it out in front of the D-man coming in to crunch him. So manly. Eichel played a very solid game, very strong on the puck. He won a lot of battles from far away with that long stick of his. I still don't think he needs to get a shorter one, Randall. Happy for Larsson. Dude has been working his ass of lately. I was underwhelmed by the O'Reilly line. FTR: I am really creeped out by TBJ's pictures. Yes, she's wearing standard female bartending garb, but that doesn't mean that she's consenting to get ogled by an entire message board. No wonder we have like 6 female posters total that rarely post.

    Somebody post PA's story about Lindy. That thing is pure playoff madness gold. I've never been here for the playoffs, either. I joined on July 1st 2011, the Summer after we lost to the Flyers.

    Avatar the last Airbender is such a great show. The movie was..... ugh. Look at me! I can change the pronounciations of the characters' names and shatter everything remotely related to characterization! Because who cares it's a kids' cartoon! you shamayalamalan.

    Oh man this feels good. Lost it at 32 y/o Artemi and not Christopher Reeves. :lol: Let's beat the out of these guys and steamroll through the second half of the season like we're the rotten core of old.

    I could never get into GTA IV. It had none of the zany fun or satire of GTA 3/Vice City. And I couldn't handle the slow pace or driving physics.

    This is a bit of a digression: I think threads like these (or the hijacking of threads like these) are necessary to have such a great board. No matter which side specific posters are arguing, it's clear that almost everyone involved really REALLY loves this board. It's the best place on the internet. And I'm super glad we have a back to back games coming up. :beer:

    Season 1 of Better Call Saul just got put up on Netflix. I encourage everyone who hasn't seen it yet to treat yourselves. Season 2 starts on February 15th on AMC.

    The "ideal owner" used to be somebody that buys the team and takes no interest in running it. Somebody who mails the checks from Florida and leaves his "hockey people" in charge. I think we've come to the conclusion that such a beast is rarer than unicorns. Pegula should basically be the next best thing: he worries about the Bills and leaves his wife (who appears to be the true brains behind the operation) to run the business side of the Sabres. Despite this, he still gets a lot of flack for being a businessman and running the Sabres like a business, which they are.
