Eleven-style there's already too many teams in the league, huh? I agree, but I don't think it's relevant to bring that up when we're talking about what currently constitutes an NHLer.

AHHHH SEXISM. That little fake by Pysyk to open up the shooting lane on the Reinhhart tip-in was beautiful. That's the play that he hasn't been making all year. Hopefully he can make a habit of it.- 461 replies

Sabres earn points in 7th straight divisional road game...

I can't really comment on the emotions of the players at home, so I'll keep blaming Bylsma. You could be right, though, I've heard that line of reasoning before. -

If he starts doing that with regularity, then sure. But I haven't seen it. I'll add that this is the second straight head coach that put Kane on the 3rd line. Why do that if he has good offensive instincts? -

I did not realize that was your argument. Bringing up basketball made it seem like you didn't know about second change. And quite simply: the team loses more when Bylsma dictates the line matchups. -

In hockey, the home team coach gets to see which players the other team puts out before he sends his own guys over the boards. So the home team coach is the one that dictates the line match-ups, which has always been a weakness of Dan Bylsma. You're a bad coach because you focus too much on your girls driving hard to the basket. If I were you, I'd construct a game plan around getting Amanda the ball in space behind the three point line. That girl has a hell of a shot, and you are criminally under-utilizing her. -

I am much less optimistic than you are. He's a beast, no doubting that, but his offensive instincts are average at best. -

When Bylsma gets the last change, it doesn't help us at all. Sign of a not-good coach. -
I scheduled an appointment in late December with a primary care doctor, because I don't have one. It's really easy to not worry about when your dad is a doctor, but I figured I should finally get it out of the way. In my area, there is a dearth of primary care providers so February 1st was the date they gave me for my appointment. That was annoying, but whatevs. So, me being me, I didn't put it in my phone calendar and mis-remembered the date as February 3rd. I got a local phone call on Saturday the 30th, but they didn't leave a message and I figured it wasn't the doctor's office because why would they call on a Saturday? I ended up calling them on Tuesday to confirm my Wednesday appointment and the lady said "Nope, you missed it. You no-call no-showed to your first appointment with us so we can't schedule another one. You can get in somewhere else." I was as polite as I could be with her, but oh my god. I confirmed that my phone was, in fact, receiving messages (and of course it was). What the hell? Isn't this supposed to be a service industry? I'm not allowed to make one mistake when they haven't confirmed contact with me in 5 weeks? Thank god I have doctor connections in the area, I can't imagine how many people badly needed help and were turned away for no reason. That's American medicine in a nutshell, for you.

It's really strange to read my initial reaction to the finale. It's now my favorite episode, and I hold it in high esteem with the likes of Breaking Bad Season 5 episode 14 and True Detective Season 1 episode 5. It just wraps up the season so pefectly. Jimmy's bingo breakdown followed by his triumphant return to Cicero is so amazing. To hear Jimmy phrase the current era of his life as starting with the Chicago Sunroof "THAT'S WHY I'M HERE!" is so satisfying. Especially when that era of Jimmy's life ends in the courtroom parking lot when he makes his turn. The use of Season of the Witch when Jimmy is checking out his old Cutlass outside of Marco's haunt is perfect. I actually like the version they use better than the Donavan version (except for his voice, you can't beat Donavan). And the East is the dawn of the new day/the American past, West is the sunset/the American frontier continues to boggle my mind. I've come to the conclusion that Robviously and I are both right. I think the writers wanted to depict that this is the right and wrong decision for Jimmy to make in a miriad of ways. Jimmy embraces his past and becomes Saul Goodman. He's no longer living to try to be like his big brother. But, this sets into motion a series of events that ends with him in the teaser of the pilot, depressed with all the fun sucked out of his life. He still became a lawyer, but he is very upfront that the bottom line is what's important to him. And, most importantly, he's finally happy. He finally feels in control of his own destiny, for the first time since Chuck bailed his ass out. I love that Saul Goodman bends the law to help those who are most vulnerable. He's helping poor criminals (like he used to be) and living in defiance of Chuck's core tenets (THE LAW IS SACRED!).

I still want him to score 25+ goals for us. But the more I watch him, the more certain I become that it will never happen. -
This is where I am as well. In a league where Brian Flynn is a regular 4th liner, Foligno (with his size) is absolutely an NHLer. His consistency issues make him a 4th liner, though.

You're missing my points entirely. You're not a woman. You're not a member of the sex that has been subjugated by males since the beginning of time. Your experience of being posted on Reddit has absolutely nothing to do with this. Also, even if the bartender read this thread and said that she wasn't bothered by it, that also would have nothing to do with the points I'm making. I strongly urge you to read up on feminist theory and think about it. Full Frontal Feminism by Jessica Valenti is a good book for getting your toes wet. This wasn't exclusive to TBJ. -

Why should I be forgiving when nobody seemed to find anything wrong with what was happening in this thread? If I just let this go, how do I know that this won't pop up in other threads in the future? This is a Sabres board, not /r/CandidFashionCritic -

Because the board isn't primarily made up of women. Because it isn't an issue that men suffer in their daily lives to be objectified as a sexy body and little else. Because women engage in that kind of behavior so much more infrequently than men. If the bartender was your girlfriend or sister, would you be okay with stumbling upon a reddit thread where a middle aged guy took several pictures of her (without her knowledge) and several other posters were leering at her tits and ass? It's not okay. -
I never used the site much on my iphone 4, the screen was just too small. Now that I have a galaxy 5, I regularly use the site on my phone and it's excellent. Reading page after page gets exhausting because a 2 line post on a computer screen looks like a paragraph, but I doubt anything can be done about that.

Because men are systemically objectified... And I realized that it was "just joking around." That just fed into my disgust.
