  1. For Patrick Kane :P Sorry, couldn't resist........ Are you sure they can wheel and deal during the 2 week freeze?
  2. Funny, we've had a righty they could have.....I give you Jamie McBain :w00t:
  3. The Kings roster page has him listed as a Center. Outside of his scoring stats, does anyone have any information on his face off %? PK ability? What is Jordan Nolan's specialty exactly? Oh, and he looks a great deal like dad. He's a good leader, a good body usage guy, but his skating......yikes........
  4. Should the title of this thread now change to Mr. Ryan Miller & nfreeman's potential hot lesbian sex action........ :P
  5. Take it easy there LGR, I kid of course. I am indifferent as to whether or not Kane would or would not come to Buffalo. I merely said yes please when someone posted it. And as to the point if he would or would not ever come to Buffalo. As players get up in their 30's, especially ones that have won multiple Cups, I'd suspect the right amount of money would get them here, maybe not in every case, but I can see it as plausible.
  6. I've found Patrick Kane's agent, here on Sabrespace?
  7. Yes please to both Callahan and Kane. Ok, wake me up now as well.
  8. Absolutely agree. Maintain the path, do not waiver, there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel and I'm counting on it being a cup contending team.
  9. I look at many teams and players numbers. Varlamov lacks some experience in the big game realm and Colorado's defense is porous at times. A net minder that can steel games would be worth it's weight in gold to a club such as them. As I stated, it's just a hunch. I don't follow the pack the way many do, so to speak, I form my own opinions then put them out there. Edit: Oh, and I firmly believe this is Miller's last season in Buffalo. Nothing short of him re-signing prior to the Olympics would have me believe other wise. I suspect many fans haven't been able to wrap their heads around the fact that indeed, he is already gone they just don't know it yet. Unfortunately, they will be disappointed,
  10. Trade Miller, He's already sold his condo. He's riding out the end of his Buffalo Sabres journey, there can be no doubt in anyone's mind. You get what you can for him and move along with the rebuild. Re-signing him is not an option in my humble opinion and letting him walk to UFA would be insane with 0 return. As for teams to trade with, St. Louis is the most spoken of, but I'd wager that Philly, Washington and even Colorado would generate some interest in Miller. Just a hunch on all of those listed.
  11. Wow........Just Wow!!!!! There is no curse by the way. Buffalo drafts 1 or 2 in June. The Islanders draft 8 to 11 and do not defer. They give it to us. One of Montreal, Minny or LA trade for Moulson hoping to increase their goal production, particularly on the PP. It doesn't happen. Buffalo ends up with 2 picks in the 8/9 to 13/14 range and trades up to the 6th position, selecting Nick Ritchie. At least, one can hope. I kid, I kid of course, but in all seriousness, this may be the perfect year for Buff to land 2 inside of the top 6. My fingers are crossed in any event.
  12. Problem solved, he is going to the Q.
  13. I believe some in here who believe TM is baiting Snow. And I can't blame him. Any chance of getting Reinhart and one of Dal Colle, Draistl, Bennett or a tier below player would be considered a coup for the Sabres out of this draft.
  14. His feeble mind comment is uncalled for drk, no place for it. But I'd like to address a couple of your comments on Grigs if I may. First, I remember you advocating for Grig's, I didn't think so at the time, so hey, you and I did 180's ;) As for your list, I agree, this falls at Darcy Regier's feet all day long. Not wise burning his contract like that and trying to force the kid into being a savior of sorts. I also agree that the hockey minds (whom I feel no much better than a fan such as myself) want him to develop through the systems in place. The 2 points I don't agree with you and those hockey minds, is his readiness for NHL action. I completely reject the notion that a player cannot learn while on the job, even in a pro sport. Is it a heavier learning curve? Absolutely, but I can't see the harm in it given the over all state of the team. Hey, if it doesn't work out short term, Rochester is a mere around the corner scenario time wise for the kid, so I ask, what is the difference in a 3 or 4 month span? My answer to that is simple, there isn't. My second point I take exception with is your comment on favoritism, the kid isn't asking for favoritism, he's exercising an option he has. That option is to not report to the Q. And most likely no other CHL team, regardless of league. He's shooting to play in the NHL, hell, the kid has nothing to lose, if Buffalo punishes him, he's off to the K when the time comes, in short, Grig's is in the drivers seat here. After all, it's "HIS" career he's making decisions on. Also pointing out that it's his job, that's horse crap. It's his job to ensure he can earn a living at "HIS" job, I see no reason to believe he won't. The rest is fodder for the cannon. As I said, while I agree with some points made, for anyone, fans or not, to insinuate that Grig's must do this or must do that is living in a bubble. It's fan passion to us, it's his lively hood to him, and he has some control, just as we do in our careers. I'm sorry, but I can't fault an individual for exercising some of that control.
  15. Actually, He is ready in my view, along with many others. Let the kid cut his teeth for a season or 2 while the rebuild is going on. It's not a matter of good enough, he is. It's not a matter of ready, he is, to some of us in any event. I've seen nothing to denote as to why he wouldn't be ready, he's making mistakes, now is the time to do it and I'd rather have him under Nolan's control than another.
  16. Let me see............... Oh yea, the part where "YOU" claim he isn't ready for the NHL all the while 2/3rd's of the current roster on the Buffalo Sabres isn't worthy enough to step out on the ice. I don't get why some people see Grig's playing up here as a negative, it only enhances his development, not hinder it. And in no way does it threaten the tank.
  17. No surprise really. Anyone who is calling this kid wrong, or this move a dick move by him, obviously wasn't paying attention to him in his post draft interviews. The kid had no intention of staying in the Q come this season no matter what. I believe the kid is right by the way. It's an insult to send him to the Q, organization be dammed or not. Play him, his learning curve will be a bit heavier, but I mean really, what's all the fuss about? It's not like he threatens the tank, and as for those talking about the vets and all earning their spots, I mean come on man, a team filled with 3rd and 4th liners, most secondary 3rd and 4th liners, not even primary. It's time to put the big boy pants on and realize Grigo's being in a Sabres uniform effects him in no way and the tank in no way. Let him play.
  18. http://www.fantasysp...as-a-day-to-day Drew Stafford was forced out of Thursday's game against the Wild due to an upper body injury. Impacts: There had been speculation that Stafford might be involved in a deal with the Canadiens for the disgruntled Daniel Briere, but we have to presume any trade talks will be halted until there's an update on Stafford's condition. Stafford left Thursday's game with an upper-body injury and will not return. Interesting.................. Spin: The injury could force the Sabres to call up another forward after the game, as the team already entered Thursday with Ville Leino unavailable with a lower-body injury. Stafford is primarily a deep-league option only with 13 points, 29 penalty minutes and a minus-9 rating through 41 games, but that still makes him one of the more productive forwards for the lowly Sabres.
  19. Patience is what the young guns of the future for the Sabres need, just Patience............. As more talent is garnered for the ranks in the next year or 2 the product will begin to assemble itself into what we all hope is a Stanley Cup contender.......
  20. Gold - USA (Miller steals the show) Silver - Russia (home turf is home turf) Bronze - Sweden (Always a good showing from the Swede's) Canada gets bounced this tourney!
  21. Thanks. I'll be sure to catch the next one. Does he look like an improved version of Ennis by chance?
  22. I missed the game, how did Linus look this evening?
  23. HAHAHA, there in lay my secret. I am not college educated. I'm a blue collar guy that built a business. And believe me, I have a couple of employees that are putting HALL as Haul :) So I'm at the top end of my language food chain lol. In all seriousness though, I'm an old school guy, older than many on here I'm sure. Plus, I did very well grade average wise throughout my educational years ;)
  24. LOL, ok, ok, point taken. However, I must point out to you, the only reason you deem those examples erroneous usage as opposed to change is telling in itself. Those are changes. You cannot in good faith not include grammatical changes, phrase changes, in fact, all points of change, including punctuation. Hey, it's all a big ###### sandwich and everyone has to take a bite :P
