He is an AHL player, waive him when ERod comes back. Hopefully he clears because he can help out the Amerks. Actually, an interesting question is who gets waived when Bogo returns?
-
True, Id probably take Mittelstadt, Kapanen and Liljegren over the entire pool even if you put Nylander and Guhle on the Leafs. but still give the nod to Nylander / Guhle over Kapanen / Liljegren but i'll admit it could go either way. 7 UFA's and 5 RFA's

If Sabres want to corner the market on all players named Rasmus - Rasmus Sandin (potential 2nd rounder) transfers to OHL from SHL https://twitter.com/eliteprospects/status/920337797243920384

sure, as long as its my Canadian dollars on par with your american! lol I will bet that all 4 of those players (barring injury) are on the Sabres opening night roster. I think there is a chance Guhle and Nylander play enough games this year not to be eligible for rookie status next year. WHat is it 25 games?
-
true but you need a 4th center for tonight. both guys who could potentially fill that spot (ERod and Josefson) are hurt.
-
I agree that's its a little thin but I would also argue that its still in the top 10 of the league. It will really dry up next season once Nylander, Asplund, Mittelstadt, (Svechnikov?, and Guhle all make the Sabres. We always want to compare to Toronto: Here are there top prospects as per an article on Hockey Writers - order is debatable 1) Timmothy Liljegren - probably a NHL player but still considered a tire fire in his own end 2)Kasperi Kapanen – RW/LW - will probably be a top 9 player for them soon 3) Carl Grundstrom – LW probably will end up in the NHL playing but wouldn't consider him top 6 candidate 4) Andreas Johnsson - LW already 22 and is a steal for the 7th round but not again more of a bottom 6 guy 5) Andreas Borgman – LD another 22 year old FA pickup, with Leafs and played in 4 games Jer 6) Calle Rosén – LD 23 year old, played 3 games for Leafs this season 7) Jeremy Bracco - RW with the Marlies - a marginal NHL prospect at this point 8) Travis Dermott – LD lots of high expectations for Dermott, playing with Marlies - could be top 4 IMO, I would take Mittelstadt, Nylander and Guhle over their entire prospect pool,

If Josefson wasn't hurt put him back to 4th line center, flip Girgensons with Pouliot and I woulnd't mind this line-up.

Former Sabres prosepct Brendan Lemieux gets his first call up to the the NHL today. Not that I would want to redo that trade...

Farabee and wahlstrom highlites from this past weekend. Both could go in top 10 Wahlstrom completes natural hat trick in the 3rd period and (today) is named USHL player of the week https://mobile.twitter.com/ushl/status/919360318806966274

Ive watched a few Knights games and their goalie(s) have been atrocious. both have SV% of less than .900 Actually surprised they are even as high as they are. Mete is on the Canadians, Juolevi sent to Finland to find his game and their #3 Dman Formenton was just sent back to them this weekend but hasnt played. I wonder if Pu was sent back to London on work on certain instructions from the Sabres that may be detrimental to his statistical performance? Much like Samson was sent to work on his strength a couple of years ago. That being said, Pu still creates a lot of chances and his speed is evident. Not too worried about him. 34 shots and only 1 goal - maybe a snake-bit like many Sabres?
-
I think both need the puck on their stick. 1A and 1B (long term) . ROR or Samson centering a very good 3rd line. Maybe Casey will need time on the wing but I think 3rd line to start - if he is a Sabre next season
-
I was in a great mood till you brought this up! I already have him penciled into the Sabres Line-up as the 3rd line Center. Playing Between Pomminstein and Nylander.
-
no, i think its Dahlin followed by Svechnikov at this time. I've Seen Tkachuk as low as 7th on some lists but usually he is 3rd.

Why isn't ROR on the penalty kill? 2 mins to go in the game, face off in your end and ROR sits on the bench? I know they want to limit his s minutes but... 90 didn't play a second of PK time last night. -

I'd waive him today to make statement. Also is the Seth Griffith experiment over?
-
You'll hate this answer but it's BPA. Though if you have a forward and Dmen ranked equally - I'd go D To have a chance at Tkachuk, I think you are going to have to get lucky with the lottery balls.
-
To be fair to Baptiste, he was robbed last night by Demko https://mobile.twitter.com/UticaComets/status/919260235730247680

I feel pretty confident that Dahlin, Svechnikov and Tkachuk will be in NHL next season.

Rasmussen Dahlin with his 2nd goal in as many games https://mobile.twitter.com/cmoresport/status/919198340322963456 What's interesting here is he picks the top left corner, not just shooting it into the goalies crest as we've seen so far this year with the Sabres

lines today at practice 9 90 26 28 15 29 67 10 17 23 22 25 I don't care what system they are playing, they simply are not good enough.

isn't it the draft picks that will replace the rotten core? I was actually excited for the season opener this year, cheered when Kane opened the scoring. Its sad that I'm already looking forward to next season. Hopefully, we will see another 6-8 guys replaced by players whom are younger, faster, more skilled and hungrier. on that note, Svechnikov with another 2G 2A night. He now leads the OHL with 14 points http://ontariohockeyleague.com/video/oct-1217-er-5-bar-7
-
Definitely up there, maybe just outside the top bracket - very similiar position to Hischier at this point last season. Heard that they are those reminded of last years #1 pick when watching Zadina I haven't heard that.
-
Top bracket seems to be Dahlin(cemented as the top guy) followed by Tkachuk, Boqvist and Svechnikov its believed that this is a deep draft and there should be really good players available for all lottery teams(1-15)

For anyone interested in following draft prospects, this is the best "follow" I've found when it comes to European based players. http://draftineurope.blogspot.ca/2017/09/2018-first-in-season-ranking-top-5.html
