  1. I'll take unlucky this year and real lucky next.
  2. Rasmus Sandin https://mobile.twitter.com/mitchlbrown/status/978989031865376773 Was going to do a highlight video of him but now will have to find someone else because it's unlikely he will be on the board at 32. the draft analyst tweeted that he could move into a top10 slot. https://mobile.twitter.com/thedraftanalyst/status/980057490695032832
  3. As GA says, Avs are built around 1 super -line of Mackinnon, Rantanen and Landeskog. Wouldn't mind the Sabres trying to do the same next year with the Eichel line by putting the best 3 forwards on the same line.
  4. KO deserves a little bit of a break and a full off-season of training before we completely write him off. Lets not forget that one year ago, exactly, he was fighting for his life in ICU.
  5. If you compare him to last years 4th overall pick Cale Makar who was also a freashman this past season maker. 35gp 5g 16a Hughes - 36gp 5g 24a Bottom line is whomever the Sabres draft at 1-4 will be a huge addition to this team The real key is the guy they draft at 32. - that's the one they have to get right
  6. Are you sure you aren't reading about his brother? I've never heard that of his game. I've also watched 20 colts games this season and never thought that. Though, that was a criticism of his brothers game.
  7. Losses to the Leafs and Preds and 1 more win by the Coyotes / Sens and 1 more point for Canucks and last place is clinched. Could be over by Monday night. Sad but true
  8. Minor miracle that the lottery balls fall our way. Rasmus Dahlin
  9. Nolan can't clear it, Falk too slow to the corner. 5 more games....
  10. Casey already a point per game player
  11. beaulieu strikes again. 5 more games and hope we never see him in a Sabres uniform again
  12. Having a world class goalie like Rinne and the emergence of Hellebuyck hasn't hurt the Preds and Jets. Hopefully, Ullmark will finally be that guy for the Sabres
  13. I will be very surprised if Svechnikov isn't #2 on almost every teams draft boards.
  14. the argument isn't would they be better off right now, its about was it the right course of action then. I agree they probably would be better off right now without the tank - you can't get much lower than last. If they win a cup in 7 years with Eichel as the center piece, with Samson, Mittelstandt, Nylander and whomever they draft this year and next as the "core". Was the tank still the wrong course of action?
  15. so 8th last again this year. Where do I sign up? you had it your way for the better part of the last 40 years being in the middle of the pack. Tired of seeing them either just miss the play-offs or be first round fodder. Yes, they had a magical ride in 2005 and 2006 but didn't make it to the finals, they rode the best goalie in the world to a Stanley cup appearance one year in 1999. Thats not good enough for me.
  16. you make it sound like the Sabres were cup contenders and they decided to change course mid-stream
  17. let me ask you this, without the tank -where would this team be right now? can you figure out any scenario that would make them anything more that a middle of the pack team?
  18. Even if you told me it would take 7 years after they drafted Eichel for them to rebuild the team into a cup contender, my position wouldn't change at all.
  19. Just because they left the board doesn't mean they left the Sabres. Maybe Tankers are just tired of being beaten down by people telling them that they were sold snake oil and that it will haunt the Sabres indefinitely. Threads like this one and the "how bad did the tank fail" may feel like shots to some that supported the Tank. For me, I still love the debate and doesn't bother me at all. ill also be the first to admit that my time frame for the recovery was way off but I still believe the tank was the best course of action. the Sabres coming in last once again this season is probably the best result they can have at this point, IMO. Though, not nearly as imperative it was 3 years ago. Hopefully, the Sabres turn it around next season - led by Eichel, Samson, Mittelstadt and this years #1 we can put the debate in the rear view mirror, where it belongs. I'm also hopeful no one starts the "who deserves credit for the tank" thread.
  20. I think there is a possibility of Nylander making the opening night roster. This off-season is going to be huge for him. One thing, he does have going for him is that he seems to be willing to put in the work to make himself better. another, who is his competiton on the wing? Girgensons, Wilson and even older pominville? There will be spots for him to win a job
  21. Hopefully you read the article. But yes, I agree with it totally.
  22. Canucks fans get it: The most hardcore and educated fans are fully on TeamTank http://dailyhive.com/vancouver/sixpack-educated-hardcore-canucks-fans-team-tank-2018
  23. what seperates Mittelstadt from Keller and Marner? both hit over 60 in their rookie seasons.
  24. My over/under for Casey is 45. He will be on PP1 and spend time on Jacks wing, no reason he wont score at a reasonable clip.
  25. If they get the first 31 correct, it will leave the Sabres a few good options at 32. Though, Noel would be an intriguing pick up. Big winger with a bit of nasty, mixed with speed and skill. Could be Tkachuk light?
