I think Carolina has better goaltending and slightly more scoring power (once healthy) than what Buffalo has. Though disappointing to see both Staals out of action. As long as Meszaros and Benoit remain a D paring - we should see this through. though I do admit the Canes are really scaring me at this point. Loved seeing Arizona out-play LA last night. At one point they had outshot the kings 37-15.

And I assume most non-tankers have never seen McDavid play a game. Probably, not true but just as dumb assumption. Not real fans??? give me a break, we just able to see the trees through the forest. We REALLY REALLY want to see the Sabres win the cup one day and we believe a true superstar will increase the odds of them doing so. Hey, maybe we are even bigger fans of the Sabres. Plus, I think there are lots of season tickets holders who are happy to sit through 1 more year of bad hockey if it means watching McDavid or Eichel in Blue and Gold for the next 10-15. Which reminds me, this "bad fan" just received tickets to go watch Lemiuex vs Bailey next friday night in Kitchener.

Good night for the 3 Ping Pong ball campaign. Tonight all Sabres fans can join together and cheer against the Islanders. Carolina is a team that scares me in the Race to Last. So its a big game and I will be watching!

You will be back next year if they get McDavid or Eichel. I'm looking forward to an opening night when my team can be one of the handful that are true cup contenders. Enjoy your winter.

Im Openly rooting for them to lose and yes I will be disappointed when they win (even against the leafs). I also will watch all the Islanders games and hope they lose, all the flames games and hope they win. Even last night I watched the Leafs game and fist pumped when they scored late to tie it up and I HATE the Leafs. (unfortunately mtl scored even later to win). Call me a bad fan if you want. All i know is I desperately want to see the Sabres win the Cup and if that means 1 more year of the Sabres sucking - so be it

I bought the Erie away game package through OHL Live. So i've watched them a couple of times this season. I think Strome is a very good player (definitely worth a top 10 pick) but then he gets the benefit of not having to face the top line or D pair of the opposing teams. It will be interesting to see him perform while McDavid is away with Team Canada. Strome is obviously a great playmaker but maybe needs to be a bit more selfish and take a few more shots. One thing I have noticed is that the McDavid kid is pretty good too. I've saw Erie play twice last season live and would emplore anyone who wants to be entertained do the same at least once this year.

I don't want fine. I want Champion - Imagine that list of top picks and then include McDavid or Eichel. We've gone from fine to downright scary.

Just no 3 point game when Islanders play another bottom feeder! If you want some good news on the Islanders being bad - Corey Conacher (I believe) is a top line winger.

1 player may not guarantee a Stanley Cup but would you admit that having either McDavid or Eichel improves your odds over whomever is drafted 12th? If you are looking for guarantees the only one I can think of is that if the Sabres do come in last they will get one of them "win or lose" the lottery. I would say there is zero chance of any team potentially in the lottery giving up their 1st rounder this year.

Believe me if things go right and you get to watch McDavid or Eichel for 10-15 years in a Sabres uni, you won't be complaining about 1 more "awful" season. What will be truly awful is watching the Sabres win a few more games and end up 10th in the East. I'll be the first to say. Lets Go Columbus! My magic number for last place is at 164, lets make it 162 after game 1!
