His line mates were near as bad they aren’t good enough to overcome his putrid play. Next time I watch a Sabres game one of JJ, Jack or UPL will be in the lineup. I’ve watched the play a few times. Joker has the puck in his own end, misses an easy zone exit to Eakins- thats mistake #1 #2 puck goes into corner and Dahlin “bails”on huge hit. #3. Eakins has clear possession of puck behind net and passes into slot to a CDN im Having a real hard time blaming Dahlin when there were 2 Blantant giveaways.

This is exactly right. The biggest problem with the trade is the 2 guys that were supposed to give the Sabres Depth behind Eichel ended up being terrible If they got even one player that helped them for 2 /3 years after the trade. You could actually argue it was a good trade for the Sabres
