This team's problem is not a lack of talent
Crusader1969 replied to Doohickie's topic in The Aud Club
I love the optimism! That’s a lot of talent to be added for sure -
Works for me. Just trades don’t happen often, so I would consider the scenario unlikely Jiricek’s injury could push him down 10 spots or so. If one of Vegas or Panthers go out in rd 1. Could possibly be available?

The same was said about Power going back to Michigan 2020 -Lafrenière Should have Byfield who was drafted 2 - did the answer is Marc Andre Fleury He missed a full season last year due to the cancellation of the OHL, he’s played 20 games this year so he certainly needs more game experience im not predicting he will play in AHL but I’d wouldn’t hesitate to put him there if he isn’t NHL ready
-
100% he goes back to the OHL. He isn’t dominating the league at all, so another year won’t do him harm in 2023/24 he can show he is ready for the NHL he stays otherwise to the AHL for at least half the season what’s interesting, is that he was granted exceptional status, so he was in CHL at 15. Can he go to AHL next season? Or does the loss of year due to covid mean he has to wait an extra year ?

From earlier today,,,, Corey Pronmans top 150 under 23 37. Jack Quinn, RW, Buffalo Sept. 19, 2001 | six-foot | 176 pounds Drafted: No. 8 in 2020 Sept. 2021 Ranking: 137 Tier: Projected top of the lineup player Skating: Below NHL average Puck skills: Above NHL average Hockey sense: NHL average Compete: Above NHL average After a so-so first pro season for Quinn, he came out like a rocket in the first half of this season before he was sidelined due to mono. He was one of the very best players in the AHL and led Rochester to early success. Quinn’s skill level pops. He can make difficult plays with the puck look routine and is a great playmaker to go with his scoring ability. He lacks great speed, but he works hard and has two-way ability. He looks like a player who is close to the next step.

The man is on a mission tonight After Rochester’s 5 goal, I love his reaction… he is chirping the Utica’s dman, while congratulating his teammates You can see the emotion the kid plays with. a few games ago, he is dropping the gloves last night, teammates make the drive to Buffalo to cheer him on. First time I’ve heard of that. Shows his teammates love him 4 points tonight, so far last night, misses two clear cut chances but the take away is that he was heady enough to get into prime scoring position. Next time he buries them

I’m really starting to wonder, with Wright, how much offensive upside there actually is. im not sure there’s any more than what there is for Cozens or Krebs but I’m when I’m talking about this years draft options - I’m assuming the Sabres don’t get lucky with the ping pong balls once again
-
Going off Craig’s list and hoping one of the panthers or Knights go out in round 1 My way too early mock for the Sabres 1) David Jiricek 2) Brad Lambert (need him to continue to struggle to put up point with JYP) 3) Filip Mesar 4) Glen Trikozov (continue drafting Russians in rd 2)
-
All things being equal, I now believe RHD is a bigger organizational need than C I could see the argument that the biggest need is 1C. But In this draft, you aren’t going to improve much over what they already have. there definitely isn’t a eichel / Matthews level guy in this years draft
-
I’d like to see them go and find a decent backup NHL goalie. Though, might be really tough to find one right now. maybe there is someone where a team would like to get rid of a contract ? Sabres could easily carry another contract for next 3 years or so UPL will need a partner next year. PLUS they need to get one of the NCAA goalies to sign to play in Rochester next season and be ready when UPL get hurt

I look at Russian box scores every day. I notice quite often he’s MIA from all 3 levels of Omskie. I’m thinking he’s had a few injuries this season but it’s just a guess played in 10 of 39 VHL games and 15 of 32 MHL games
-
Im assuming he will be looking for an apartment in Buffalo in the next two weeks

Okposo and Tuch have returned Krebs - Eligible to return Thompson - entered covid protocol Jan 10
-
No had upper body injury. Was to be out for a few days regardless Hopefully Krebs, Okposo and Tuch come off it tomorrow. Krebs especially since they look really thin at centre
-
Jan 10th. Tage Thompson added to covid list
-
Wait till Sabres have both!

Does Rasmus Dahlin need a change of Scenery?
Crusader1969 replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
Glad to see things tilt in his direction though, I’m guessing 1 mishap on the PP and all the great things he has been doing will be forgotten by a section of Sabres fans. -
interested to compare to the previous poll from a couple of months ago.
-
sorry, that was a bit rough....i see you were asking a question rather than making a statement. Its nothing like Risto IMO. The transition game is 10times what Risto's ever was at 5 on 5

Bryson I back practicing with the team.

tell me you arent watching the games without saying "im not watching the games"

For a period with a fight in it , this is the lowest energy game I’ve seen in a long time
