How confident are you that the Sabres become a competitive team next year? Will games in March 2023 matter for anything except lottery position? I’m cautiously optimistic that next year is a big step forward

I’m at the point where if Eakin and Bjork are in the lineup, I’m not going to bother to watch eakin played 11 mins and got caved in AGAIN. Team worst 20% Corsi. 0 shot attempts. 1 brutal giveaway. His line mates were near as bad they aren’t good enough to overcome his putrid play. Next time I watch a Sabres game one of JJ, Jack or UPL will be in the lineup. Hopefully all 3 Otherwise it’s just a waste of time

I’ve watched the play a few times. Joker has the puck in his own end, misses an easy zone exit to Eakins- thats mistake #1 #2 puck goes into corner and Dahlin “bails”on huge hit. #3. Eakins has clear possession of puck behind net and passes into slot to a CDN im Having a real hard time blaming Dahlin when there were 2 Blantant giveaways.

This is exactly right. The biggest problem with the trade is the 2 guys that were supposed to give the Sabres Depth behind Eichel ended up being terrible If they got even one player that helped them for 2 /3 years after the trade. You could actually argue it was a good trade for the Sabres

I’m slightly cooling of Savoie. Isn’t near as noticeable the last month or so What about Nemec? Could he push for too 3? I could see if, especially being RHD

I would say marginal player at best. I’m sure he will get some games but don’t see him as a game changer. I could be wrong. I’d be interested if anyone sees more from him
