  1. Having to trade for Vesey to complement depth scoring, exemplifies how sorry a state the Sabres were in. Now the big question is, where will the Sabres rank next season with the 6 of the top 10 prospects on this list playing full time in the NHL. With 3 first rounders and 2 seconds rounders, they should remain in the top 10.
  2. One of the few that hasn't dropped Lambert much either. If you move Nemec into the 9 slot, there wouldnt be one guy in there that I would be disappointed in the Sabres drafting. Anyone of Wright, Lambert, Kemell, Cooley, Slafkovsky, Savoie, Yurov, Jiricek and Nemec would look good in Royal Blue.
  3. You would be correct
  4. Skipped over a major piece in Krebs but over all a good analysis major difference to me from 2014-15 to this season - Is that they didn’t have a huge core of youth that is about to step into lineup In 15/16 they had Eichel, Reinhart and girgs as young players with Risto on D once you got past the 4 young players and Kane / O’Reilly the team had little else next years team SHOULD be able to put out quality / skilled 4 lines and 3 defensive pairs it will be interesting to see if they can outperform the 15/16 team
  5. Looking back at his August list. I’d guess Power would be #1 , though it’s not a slam dunk vs Byfield his august list Byfield Caufield Power Zegras Perfertti Johnson Clarke Beniers Raymond Eklund might be my homer opinion but I think Quinn should now be among these prospects
  6. Who will be #1 im guessing Buffalo - he mentioned on another teams write up that he thought Power is the best prospect outside of the NHL Could make a case for either LA or Buffalo being #1 LA’s AHL team is loaded with prospects and I’m guessing he will consider Byfield a prospect, even though he’s playing with Kings
  7. Gotta think it was pretty cool for Dahlin to get a fist pump from Hedman when he came back to the bench after his goal. good for Rasmus!
  8. For me 1) play at least a 1.2 points per game pace. If they play at that level next year , it makes them at worst a playoff contender 2) more games for Quinn, JJ and Krebs 3) UPL returning and playing well 4) sign Power 5) sign Johnson 6)improved health for Mitts 7) skinner 30 goals plus 8- improved offence from Cozens 9) confidence from Dahlin. Both ends of the ice 10) becoming a thorn in the side of the top teams in their division
  9. I’m expecting to wake up to a 5-4 comeback victory Or 7-0 Vegas
  10. What??!! You can’t be serious. Thompson took it right off him as he was trying for a shot
  11. What was Tage thinking? oh well let’s me get some sleep
  12. Ugghhhh. Didn’t this happen the other night - Glorious opportunity missed and then penalty and then Goal against ?
  13. Exactly, This is the time to create a section for a supporters club. And no, We’ve seen them with a full building and it’s still dead
  14. What’s the thought process with 7 d and 11 forwards. Got burnt last game with an injury. You have the players there in Vegas , why not put JJ in?? also, what happened to Asplund. Seems he’s lost confidence after starting the season pretty well
  15. You need a supporters club section. Let them bring in Drums and flags. Get some atmosphere in there like European hockey
  16. Me too. Love watching this kid play. Pretty sure he’d be able to upgrade from Bjork in the top 9
  17. yes and no I do think the Sabres have much more depth at the forward position than the Preds did. Goaltending is the big question mark. Can the Sabres find their Rinne ?
  18. I've loved the idea of a RHD with the top pick for a couple of weeks BUT now im thinking grabbing a guy like Nemec at 5-8 may not be the best idea long term You have Dahlin as your top paid Dman and Power as your 2nd pair. Both are offensive Dmen and maybe the Sabres be better served playing with guys who put their defensive responsibilities first? You could grab a forward with your top pick and then look at RHD with one of the other first round picks. Maybe Jiricek falls a bit due to his injury or guys like Ryan Chesley (24th- consolotated rankings), Tristan Luneau (29th Consolidated), Maveric Lamoureux (29th Bob Mckenzie), or Elias Salomonsson (27th consolodated)?
  19. I think there is a good portion of this board ready for them to take a RHD with the top pick.
  20. No shame in this one. Hard fought dont get how 4 guys miss the Olofsson high stick to the face. Tuch taken down on the PP, another no call.
  21. You bring JJ out there and don’t dress him? So disappointed
  22. Unfortunately, this thread is needed once again Houser added Jan 28th Sounds like 4 or 5 more will be added today
  23. 74 days until April 9th. Owen Power’s last game at Michigan, assuming they make the championship game
