After a period I'd say the Sabres controlled more of the play, but the Devils had more shots off the rush? Dahlin's passes are amazing and he laid out a really good hit but took a holding penalty. Nylander is looking somewhat engaged but when he's not on the puck it really looks like he just stops trying? Borgen looks good as does Laaskonen.

Dahlin's penalty led to NJ pp goal...1-1. He's also enormous and his puck protection really stands out.

I know it's just prospects but I am so excited to watch some hockey played by people in Sabres sweaters.

The NYC market does not get Sabres games so no dice there. They do, however, get Devils games so if the Devils are streaming then you can at least work there. Rumor has it the Devils (from the Devils sub-reddit) the Devils will be streaming on their website. I've also heard DELETED is a service that exists but I havne't used it (since I pay for gamecenter) I am 97% sure a stream will be on the website that rhymes with shreddit.

That's such horseshit that it's not being streamed out of market...this....defeats to point of the internet stream. The gatekeeping to this sport is something I'll never, ever understand. They're trying to grow the game, right? What if I live in market but am out of town traveling? Am I boned? What's insane is that I pay for gamecenter and still can't see this. The Sabres have been a steaming mess and the Bills fluked into the playoffs to end the drought and are following that up with Nathan Peterman starting behind one of the worst O-lines in the history of the universe. They've also funneled a lot of money into the region so that can't be ignored. On that front, they're good owners because they're not constrained by an internal cap but the product at the end of the day is trash. Go Sabres.

In no scenario do I see Asplund starting the year in Buffalo. That seems to fly against the JBOT philosophy. He's got to prove he can cut it in Rochester. Him being waiver eligible also makes a case for him starting in Rochester. I do expect we'll see him called up during the season. As to Girgensons or Larsson, I can't wait till they're gone. I can see Girgensons hanging through the year but I won't be surprised to see Larsson waived. There's too many bodies and he always seems to be the odd man out.

Also interesting that we have 9 centers, 4 LWs and 2 RWs listed. Would love to see Nylander - Mitts - Thompson with Guhle/Dahlin on the back end.

Great to see we'll get a fresh look at Thompson and Dahleen. If Pronman is right we should SMOKE this tournament with our eyes closed.

Is this a comparable for Reinhart?

Hmmm...I was going to take the easy route and vote for him being injured during the preseason and only playing 30 games, but, this quote in a recent article caught my eye, "Bogosian has been ready for seasons to start in the past, but he’s REALLY ready for this year, ". Seeing as how he's REALLY ready this year, opposed to other years where he was just sort-of ready, I'm voting that he missed ~10 games with a concussion somewhere. I sincerely hope he's healthy and makes an impact on the team. If that happens, that helps our team. He should be in our top-4 and if he plays like he belongs here, he'll help us climb back into playoff contention.

I voted for O'Reagan because why not? In my scenario he comes in, guns blazing, and is in competition for the Calder with Casey and Dahlin and makes the Kane trade a landslide victory for the Sabres.

Love that we have the deepest prospect pool in the league and also have 3 1st round picks in the hopper next year. Good work, Bots. For the record, I laughed at the "pornman" joke.

I imagine it'll be pretty close to what we saw in July with the prospect camp. Hopefully we'll get a look at Nylander. Also wondering if they will let the team locks, Dahlin and Casey play, instead of risking injury.
