Probably don't use TSO's Carol of the Bells as the background if you are just making a "winter" theme.

Didn't see anyone comment on this yet... just watched on Facebook and was able to find their twitter post about it. Pretty awesome, although I think the projection system could have been better for the introduction portions with the music. https://twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/807986399320256513/video/1

Hmmm.. I didn't know that. I just researched though and found this tidbit: 1 year down... 7 more to go? They only need to lose $14.28M per year. Easy to do.

All of this sounds like a Major League crafted plan to move the Panthers to Quebec City.

For a team that's near the bottom on the PK I'm not sure being one of the better ones is the answer. He's really of little value to the team and I'm noticing Grant being less effective than he was early on.
-
Granted... hearing him speak though you can tell it's not too far off. I was shocked when I logged in and saw I started a thread. :) He knows all the Disney characters.. that's classic.

Lehner vs. Nilsson - Looking Forward to Free Agency

Is Bishop taller than the current Sabres goalies? Murray probably wants to get the tallest goalie he can. :) -
http://www.theplayerstribune.com/john-scott-retirement/ There's no end to this guy. He should be a broadcaster.

The NHL needs to be brought to task on this crap of players jumping on, over, and around an injured player. There's no room for it. - a player goes down and you go after the guy who is still near the injured player you should be ejected and automatically suspended 5 games or more. Larsen was totally vulnerable there and he may have sustained more severe injuries had his idiotic teammate not skated right into his damn head. The NHLPA should be addressing that within their own ranks as well. It's a union... in theory. It's disgusting. Players have to be far more aware of what they are doing in that situation. One misstep and Larsen goes from unconscious to having his throat cut open. The hit itself was totally clean and needs to occur in hockey. You are going to get hit hard at times. You can't take it out of the game. Of all the hits that occur it's rare the result is similar to what we see in this situation. Larsen HAS to protect himself and his teammates have to warn him. If they did and he still got rocked then that's the way it goes.

D4rk - so, last night I walked into a bar.. ouch. But seriously, Fireside Chat was on tap so I immediately ordered one. I felt nothing strange.. looked for some different flavors in the beer and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Pretty interesting reaction you have to it.

It's not nice to use women.

Stay away from glass... you don't want it. Google spontaneous glass breakage and brewing.. I dare you. Genny Brew House is awesome. Thai Chili wings are killer. Their pilot series beers are good, especially the ones that are brewhouse only. Chocolate Salted Caramel Porter? Great as an ice cream topping but damned if you drink a whole one of those... too sweet.

Agreed. Use his 9 games as they can... and then if nothing improves, call up a F and have them skate D. No way you burn a year if the team is suffering massive injuries..
-
Meh.. the last time the Sabres had this many D out injured was 2006 and that worked out just.... ahh crap.
-
True... but its getting to the point where it won't matter anymore TV is just too expensive. As far as the Sabres are concerned it's worse because MSG doesn't allow any streaming. You can't even stream them on TWCTV app when you pay for the cable subscription. Look at DirecTV Now... MSG conveniently not on the list of stations you can stream (but most FoxSports NHL covered teams are there)

Never used one. I had cone to a conical when they came out with those. I tried the better bottles and while they were better than glass carboys they still had the cleaning issue.
-
I've brewed plenty of batches where I never had a bubbling airlock. It's always a seal issue and it's never been a problem. It could be an issue in a secondary fermentation but primary fermentation pushes so much out of the bucket that outside air is not getting in to infect a batch. Carboys are annoying to clean. Your only option would be a Big Mouth Bubbler that has a larger opening so you can reach in and clean by hand. I used to have a conical but I sold that to my brewing partner. In my new system I bought a Spiedel fermenter. It's pretty cool especially at the price point. I looked at the Stainless Brewbucket or whatever they call it. That seemed like a decent option as well.

Yep. The moment I can stream all Sabres games without jumping through hoops my subscription to TWC ends and I don't sign another deal anywhere.

Almost bought tickets for this game but my rare break from coaching youth hockey means I must get some house work done that is severely neglected. I'll still watch the game though!

On the PP. Which I am sure he will still be out for.

The one time... the entire month of November my team has a practice at 8pm is tonight. ARGH! I might cancel it. This is gonna be good!

I can't say I've experienced that before. I'll have to get some to see if I notice anything. Best I have now is sabills theory on the spicing.
-
I have had it numerous times. The experience?

It's not surprising. The owner is a change body. He loves creating change, all the time. "Positive friction". I'm not sure that's going to work in the NHL. You might be able to get people who buy into it on Wall Street as there are people who want to spend 5-10 years burning themselves out to make a load of money and then retire. The NHL players play for money but also have a passion. Many value stability and any owner who exhibits a propensity to change for change sake is probably not going to draw well. I'm sure all players want to be evaluated only on their metrics. Well, scratch one competitive team from the Sabres division now. I'd be surprised if Florida doesn't tailspin after this.

Ahh, that explains it more. Sort of a "we picked these guys from the trash aka lower rounds". Makes a lot more sense. Thanks! Pilsner.. it's not bad.
