  1. Religion. FTR Wookie, I have no issue at all with holding traditional values or Power getting married. I also dont have any issue with religions.
  2. Saw him at Ozzfest at Darien Lake (2008?). Played on the 2nd stage at like 2 in the afternoon and did about an hour long set... it was great. Closed with Crazy Train.
  3. Not really with the cap going up this year. Dallas traded 1 guy I would have had interest in. Vegas... no one.
  4. Life comes at you fast. btw this helmet will only be worn for the week 18 game against the jets, which is the last regular season home game in the Stadium.
  5. You have to find teams that want to do that. Right now that leaves you Pittsburgh and maybe Calgary.
  6. Idk if I would go as far as staged. I think it was deliberately picked to showcase both Jarmo and the stuff you are alluding too "tougher to play against".
  7. If Pegula had any brains at all he would fire Adams and make Jarmo GM with Karmanos AGM and Jerry Forton as UE
  8. I read his comment differently. I think he is saying you can't teach aggression and I tend to agree. I think it is easier to teach Benson to shoot than it would be to teach Quinn to forecheck.
  9. *****, does Ryan Suter wanna play 1 more year? Imagine adding a guy with 1373 NHL games to your roster. He would be the perfect #6 defender and perfect type of adult to add to that room. You hear that Kevyn! Go get Suter so our D room doesn't have the experience level of a noob in call of duty.
  10. Some of you love to focus on the wrong thing. The age of the roster isn't the problem, the experience of the roster is the problem. Their 2nd most experienced defender is Jacob Bryson and he has half the games played that Rasmus Dahlin does. They should dump Bryson and sign Grzelcyk, adds 527 NHL games to the roster and he push Samuelsson down the lineup. Bring in David Savard and his 870 NHL games, sure he might not be the best anymore but even with 70% def starts for a rebuilding Montreal team, he was decent. He also shoots right and would be cheap. My point is that they should be looking to bump Bryson to #8 on the depth chart and they should be bringing in a veteran NHL defender to add to that room. None of these guys are going to cost you more than 2-3million for 1-2yrs, which is easy to fit under our cap. Being content with this level of inexperience on the defense is negligent at best. Byram - Dahlin Power - Kesselring Grzelcyk - Timmins OR Savard - Timmins Samuelsson
  11. Michael Kesselring has played 10 more NHL games than Zach Benson. 156 to 146.
  12. Good news, the Buffalo Sabres are no longer the youngest NHL team. They currently sit 31st just one ahead of Montreal. Buffalo is 25.7yrs compared to 25.35yrs. BUT... Buffalo is dead last in the NHL by experience. 5,881 total games played. Next closest is 644 more games played with 6,525 (also Montreal). To help compare this, the Oilers are 8th with 10,991 games played and the Panthers are 3rd with 12,384gp. The Winnipeg Jets are first with 13,020gp. So we are not the youngest but we are least experienced team in the entire NHL. Source: https://www.eliteprospects.com/league/nhl/teams-physical-stats/2025-2026
  13. The fact that Mrtka had no skills or skating coach up until he goes to Seattle (who I assume has those) is fascinating because you can see two things. First is how much Mrtka worked out in his own brain. He saw deficiencies and attempted to fix them with what he had available. That's good. Second is the big unknown. What happens when you take a talented kid without all the fancy training and suddenly give him all the fancy training? Will it overwhelm him, is he actually not that far behind, can he incorporate that information, will he suddenly explode in skill because of it? Lots of questions there. This is similar to the bet they made with Jack Quinn who didn't fully commit to hockey until he was in drafted into Jrs. If Mrtka can do all that he can now without specialty coaches, what can he do with them? As far as Mrtka's physical play, I don't worry about it as much because he plays the game with more natural aggression than Owen Power. He demands the pucks more and shuts down plays in a more active way.
  14. That's it. Piqued. I knew it felt wrong.
  15. probably that 1st and 3rd range but you might need to go into the 1st, 2nd, 3rd range. Buffalo could not get into that next range.
  16. Ventura liking Bedkowski's profile is really interesting to me. He must have some defensive tracking analytics that are telling more than what we see. EP tracked him for 7 games and he ends up with elite defensive numbers.
  17. I don't like Forton but... some of what this reveals about Mrtka is truly interesting stuff. A lot of the Canadian and US kids are getting skating and skills coaches right from the get go. By jr A and certainly by Jrs you are working with those types of ppl. I do find it interesting that Mrtka didn't have that. With his June bday and finally getting that stuff once he got to Seattle, well, my curiosity is much more piqued I like that Jarmo and Karmanos are sitting next to eachother.
  18. Yea and just before that is Karmanos. My guess is they cut off something to do with analytics and the player. Forton IMPO doesn't do a good job of considering the numbers, more of a feels guy.
  19. My favorite part to this point is Terry trying to adjust his chair when Jarmo stands up to talk and being unable to.
  20. Guessing he wants more than that or his attitude really does stink.
  21. rankings this early are so you now some names, outside of McKenna you can ignore where everyone is ranked until January.
  22. Greenway is a 4th line guy when healthy. I think Tage - Norris - Tuch as a line has a playmaking deficiency, it also means other teams can match all their good D players against 1 line.
