The Sabres are the least experienced team in the league. The defense has 1 guy who has over 300 games played.

I stand by my statement. This group is lacking and listing seasons played and then talking about the adversity they've faced as one of the least experienced groups in the league is hiding behind those seasons played. Not a single member of the group is over 25, calling them "men" as though they've reached that late 20s level is questionable.

Coaching and Goaltending

Everything in the quote box is from the article. I don't agree with the "consensual part" as clearly the girl involved felt some line was crossed. I am fine with approaching Hart but Adams will not. He and Ruff believe in UPL and are stupid and stubborn. There's almost no evidence that UPL is consistent enough to be a reliable starter without a team selling all out for defense. Maybe this year he proves us wrong but if I had a team in 14yr playoff drought and was responsible for 5 of those years, I would be a bit more cut throat than Adams is or will ever be.

There's the law side of things and the "this wasn't right" side of things. I heard enough of the testimony and the evidence to think even if legally these players cannot or even should not be punished, what happened was in that "this isn't right" realm. It's fairly clear from the factual sequence of events that things, at least in terms of my morality, were taken to far and have that "ick" factor. At the very least McLeod would be someone I would not want on my team due to his grievous lack of judgement.

The question is was Cozens really a drag on the defense or was that just because the team overall was bad?

I followed the trial with some regularity and it's gross regardless of the acquittal. Idk if I'd want any of these guys on my team but ik the nhl and hockey won't care.

Other than Peterka, the Sabres sent guys with bad xgf% out. They brought in almost exclusively guys with good xgf%. Will it work? Idk, probably not because gt and coaching are trash. To the bolded, what's even the point of this nonsense? We all know Adams is incompetent.

What's odd is I do think Thorny is right about a lot. Peterka leaving is an issue until they prove otherwise. Yea, the question is execution. I still think goalie and coaching will be a massive issue.
