OK, since I am the one who made the statement, I will explain it plain and simple. The reason why this team disgusts me to no end right now is exactly why I think Gaustad is a problem. If there was ever a guy on this team who could change the tone of a game and lead by example, it's Gaustad. Yes, he is good at faceoffs but come on, the fact that he does not get his nose dirty is a MAJOR problem that permeates this team top to bottom and big to small. When McCormick dropped the gloves last night, it was the loudest that building has been for at LEAST 2 years (I am not exaggerating either - for a moment it was deafening). All this crowd wants is for someone to show they freakin' care and last night was EFFIN PATHETIC! Is is too much to ask Gaustad or ANYONE for that matter to get out of character for one night and show the fans they have not given up? If it was not for McCormick, I probably would have left after the 2nd period....

You have to be kidding me....Gaustad is getting paid what he is to win faceoffs!? He is a shell of what is expected of him out there. I have not noticed him ONCE this year.

Boy did I pick the wrong year to split seasons. Not even center ice on the 100 level could ease the pain of this one. That was the worst sporting performance I have been to since the Bills Cleveland 6-3 game. Connolly, Gaustad, Stafford, Rivet need to be let go for anything. If you can't trade them, just dump them. Regier better be on the phone with Calgary RIGHT NOW and I don't care if we get raked over the coals in a trade for Iginla. This team needs a Captain and if it involves players like Vanek and Ennis, so be it. I may have wasted a lot of $$ on this crappy team but I really, TRULY feel so badly for the parents who dump hundreds of dollars to take their kids out on a limited budget and have the team show nothing in return. F you to the players for that...a big F U

I'll be busy doing my best impersonation of John Daly at a party - loudmouth golf pants, shirt saying sponsored by hooters with logo, bowl cut wig, pillow in stomach, bottle of Jack and a pack of smokes, tag on back saying looking for sponsors....Sooo, if I am going as John Daly, does that give me the right to act like him for a night? Come on Sabes, pick it up!

I almost think a regulation loss would have been better for this team. Now, they will try and build on the positive of tying it up late. Well, I may be a little late to the party but something is VERY wrong with this team. If Miller does not step his game up, this is going to get really ugly.....

Seems like ground hog day with this game...playing horribly and will take it out against a lesser team. Tomorrow, after coming off a win, will get slapped in the face using fatigue as a factor. Wednesday, they get to OT and grab a point in a loss. First win at home comes against Montreal. This team is awfully predictable....

watched the first, put the kids down, peeked over the railing, saw 4-1, turned it off, had some cereal.......wow, amazing how mild tempered I can be after a loss when not watching...

Soooooo, the wins have been against Jersey, Ottawa and Atlanta after a West Coast trip - reminds me of how the Bills get their wins. Serious question - when is the last time they won a game where the other team brought their A GAME or B? Exactly

I think if they can win this one, it will be the turning point of the season. Philly played and lost last night so Buffalo needs to have the best first period of the year. Flyers are going to come out fast as teams normally do on a back to back (except Sabres)

OK, not tired anymore 1-0 No Kovy and Marty - this game better not be close...

I am already tired of this season...and I put way too much money into this year to feel like that. If they get down early, I'll be switching the channel very early

Montador and Myers Only way to win games is if Roy and Vanek show up every night ALL STAR of the night - Sekera This team is looking more like sellers at the trade deadline.......

I hate this excuse more than any other in the world. The fact that it is coming out of Rivet again makes me despise him even more...

Lindy is going to want this one for the fans so let's just hope the team does too..............5-2 good guys

Having the top six actually play worse this year than last was not even in the cards for me and now that it is a reality, troubles are ahead. Add to that the incompetence of Gaustad and Rivet and it looks like this team could be in for a world of hurt just within the division...

All you need to know is this was their best played game and they still don't win. Obviously this means the team is not good... Besides Miller and Roy, any player on this team could have a season ending injury and it would not make a damn difference...

I swear to GOD I hate Rivet more and more every game. If they can't bench him, rip that freakin' C off his heartless chest and give it to someone else...

Nothing is going to happen tonight and I guarantee this team is told by Lindy to stay out of the box. It will be another 3-1 or 4-2 loss and things turn ugly tomorrow. Is it too late to get MAC and MAX back? This team is VERY unlikeable

Lincoln Station is the best place hands down. My roommate from College owns it and they also have great wings to boot. Tell them the Baumer sent ya! Delilahs is fun as well so it would be worth it to stop in and say hello to Mike (more old school atmosphere)
