Well, I have never thought a season could be over so quickly into the year but the writing is on the wall. I don't think this team has beaten one top 8 team this year that starts their real goaltender. I never thought it was fair to play back to back nights when the other team is rested...oh yeah, that's right, other teams have to face that too..what, you mean Montreal had a game last night too.... Who is gone next year - Connolly, Stafford, Rivet...at least the team will look different next year. I hope Miller puts an ultimatum on this organization because this he is not sticking around after his contract.

Rewind to the last New Jersey game. Again, here we are with a chance that this team goes off the deep end with a loss. They avoided that with the NJ win and went on a little roll. A loss to Toronto at home tonight spells disaster for this team going forward. A win at least keeps the chances for 8 spot.....

Scratch that thought, now we are 4 behind 8 spot with Atlanta sitting there with a game in hand - this could get ugly fast....

Injuries cannot be an excuse as the players called up are an upgrade over Connolly, Nieds and Stafford. The problem STILL lies in the fact that no matter how well these guys play, they don't have any closers (unless it is Vanek every so often.) The chances are there but these guys are either missing the net all together or making it simple for the opposing goalie. Well, scoreboard watching should be easy from here on out as we just have to monitor who is in that 8 spot. Hopefully Ottawa loses tonight and this team can start again on Friday.....

Seriously, get this done. I think your only 3 options are Gaustad, Roy or Vanek. Although Roy is playing well, not sure he is C material. Vanek needs to concentrate on the goals as he gets thrown off his game too easily so that leaves the Goose. It looks like these past two games have been his best of the year so it would be perfect to hand it over to him and let him run with it...OK, so who do I call?

I am liking the fight in this team again. Physical and scoring goals which was great last night. I say they bring the wood again tonight as they leave the memories of the first month behind........Tampa, psh - palease

Was at the game as well and I think the crowd is brutal. I even turned to my buddy with 5 minutes to go and said ..what the hell, we have the lead with this amount of time against a tier 1 opponent and it's like they are losing. Even the playoff round last year was nothing like it used to be. I think it is the Sabres style of play more than it is the wins and losses. Whatever it is, I am trying to do my part to fix it (however small that may be). Hopefully one day, the Bills and Sabres games will have the home field/ice advantage again because they certainly don't have it now....That aside, great game last night as I had a blast!

Great effort again especially from down 3-0. If only the craptastic 2nd line could contribute a fragment of scoring, these guys would be on a tear. Good to see the effort as the season progresses.

If they can crawl back in this one (even in a losing effort), that would be great. Since I am going on Friday, that's the one I really want......
