  1. I think this is more in the community hospital setting, I've been pretty far removed from the bigger facilities.
  2. After the injury in August I did 4+ months of PT, rest, no training, etc.... I got back into it 2 weeks ago, indoor cycle and swim felt good, went on a single 1 mile run, at a very jog-like pace and could barely walk that night. Had an MRI this morning, tore my deep calf muscle. So now I'm back at square 1 with another long injury, stupid body.
  3. So the browns are spanking the Titans.... Not expected
  4. We've been running hospitals understaffed since I've been practicing, this whole short staffing thing sucks, but it's by no means a new phenomenon. 2nd, we're seeing a significant drop in other illness.... Again... People are too afraid to come into the hospital because they're too scared. Until they're dragged in by a family member after other damage is done. We absolutley need to find the balance between these things, it's imperative.
  5. In other news, a Covid positive patient from jail threw his fecal matter at the nurses and I. Just being an Asssss, he's probably seeing rainbows and unicorn sprinkles now.
  6. Had to activate 2 choppers last night at around 230 am, never a good thing when the helicopter is involved, even worse when 2 are needed at the same time. These loooong nights are probably trashing the little immune system I have left.
  7. I got it a few weeks ago, it was delayed by my pneumonia, I get the shot every year because I have asthma.... I am allowed to decline it, but then the hospital makes you wear a mask during flu season if you don't show proof; this year, that doesn't matter 😂😂
  8. Meiser Cuomo, he's such a gem. At this point I just want the vaccine to work so the damn world can get to some sense of normalcy. FTR, I am a fan of vaccines, I'm not an anti vaxxer, and they typically have a very very good risk to benefit ratio. There are some vaccinations that I care less about personally but overall they are good. The few that get bad reactions to them I feel bad for but that's just bad luck with genetics. Just get this thing produced and give me one in each arm along with the flu shot and let me travel more 😂😂
  9. I will accept nothing less that an icon that appears as such... 😝
  10. I think the issue is that to get to the last unread post, you have to hit the yellow, but if you miss it then you hit the title and it takes you to page 1.
  11. I appreciate the yellow star being a bigger dot now, especially since I only use mobile, helps a bunch.
  12. Probably not without an antigen test ordered, and the blood test would only show if you had previous infection, most likely not active
  13. You're in phase 5. Euthanasia phase 😂😂
  14. Whattttt? Its still not working for me on mobile 😭😭😭
  15. While I was at work last night they drew my blood for antibody testing, if it's positive then I've had the virus already and I have antibodies, so let's see
  16. Qantas airlines is working on putting out a 2nd digital passport, it won't Allow people to fly unless they get the vaccine, they are also integrating testing centers that one can go to, if they have travel coming up that can load into this digital card or whatever, so that person is shown as up to date with entry requirements for Covid. Other airlines are appearing to show interest in this and it may become a reality. So yeah, If they're gonna go this far with it, which it certainly sounds possible; you better believe they're gonna make employees of many fields get it. So they're not forcing you to get it.... But good luck living a decent life after 2021 if you don't.
  17. If it's easy to move the game to Arizona then go for it, but if there are any issues finding a place for the game, buffalo is 100% open and capable. There's no fans anyways. I wonder if it's hard to get up for a game for the players without the fans, kind of feels like a scrimmage.
  18. Unfair to the broncos to play without a QB, fair doesn't matter this year.
  19. The warm air helps alleviate symptoms via nasal cannula, it helps open up airways and also really helps in patients who are having difficulty breathing, basically decreases breathing effort in patients with significant congestion. Plus the mask free delivery helps with patients being able to tolerate it compared to bipap or other masked breathing devices.
  20. A lot of venti/non rebreathers and using a decent amount of vapotherm as well. I've intubated 2 patients this week, they were both Covid negative. But the small area seems to be finally catching up, seeing a lot of + patients coming in, many from nursing facilities. The mortality is significantly less in older people around here, at least compared to what I was expecting.
  21. Thanks ✈️ I've been traveling quite a bit still, 😊
