I hiked the Niagara gorge today with some friends, then we Rollerbladed/cycled around the falls area....it was a nice day out, away from technology.... But holy crap was it HOTTTT💥💥 it was like 94 in the gorge and that typical breeze ya get from being near water, was nonexistent today.

I won't lie, when tickets are 5-10$ on 2nd hand sites, I definitley turn some of those into date nights.

I almost died in Montenegro in January, my car they said was a 4wd was not and I got caught in a blizzard on this tiny mountain road with no protection and a very very far fall on one side; in the black mountains. Still an epic adventure.

Dude, it's all jobs that deal with people, the medical field is a mix of customer satisfaction, clicking boxes and kissing @ss with a little medicine mixed in. My best friend is a teacher and I feel awful for what she has to go through!

Fair enough, at this point it has become a blur, there are many here that I enjoy having convos with even in disagreement, but there are many that I would just rather not get involved with. There's so much crap going on in here (plus we all know text is not a great language in general) many people come off as rude or angry when they're not and some are ticked but are passive aggressive in nature. Maybe this thread should be moved away from the main forum next to the politics thread that I never visit. I'm here for hockey and a distraction from life. This thread isn't helping. I try to avoid it but it just keeps popping back up to and then I get dragged in 😂😂😂

I'm at my community pool currently and there are about 9 kids here.... It's 90 degrees and hot as heck out here.... All the kids are huddled around a table away from the water and playground with tik tok on. What a sad existence this has become.

First off, the only time I've ever actually stepped in for someone was for NS when I was cheering HIS decision, which is sound. He was being unnecessarily bullied and I don't like seeing that at all. 2nd, no, I am not out here agreeing with conspiracies and nonsense; my sister is a huge anti-vaxxer and conspiracist and I tell her where she can shove it all the time. The truth is that ever since this pandemic started, there has been a lot of muting of people with sound questions, yes there are many many that are just dumb and we can't do anything to fix that; what I'm dealing with, as I've stated before is the less that ideal bullying of those with actual sound concerns. Lastly, please quit questioning my medical knowledge on here, I've been here long enough and know a lot of people here personally, I've built hospitals in 3rd world countries out of my own heart and funds, I do medicine the best I can, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to have an opinion and also not standing up against bullying.

Incorrect, getting something jammed into your own body, is in fact is a personal choice. Sure, I recommend the vaccination to my patients, but if they say they don't want it, I don't berate them. Apparently that is the couth of this board, I guess that is why you guys aren't practicing medicine. I would hate to practice alongside you.

Hey, if they want to belive that, then medically I will explain why it isn't so, but if after they still want to... Then yes. Why would I be so disrespectful to that individual. Again, people are allowed to make decisions they want... My job is to give the medical facts and to try and explain them to the layperson as best as possible. I've literally had these situations arise. I feel bad, but at the end of the day they are adults with the ability to think and decide for themselves. The same go for people who have stage whatever cancer and decide to forego treatment, even with good success with said treatment or with jehova witnesses that won't accept life saving blood products, etc etc. This is not about Covid or the vaccination for me at this point, it's about the collective greater than thou attitude that seems to be mounting when people disagree, take a step off the pedestal. But thanks for the attitude as always 😘

What does this have to do with anything, then don't Join the military. You're govt property when you join. we are all or mostly all civilians here with rights. I think the vaccination is good, but I don't think this overbearing attitude of being a judgemental ass is good.

I will say, in the beginning, we were directed to put, at a minimum, "suspect Covid 19" on most charts, it did have to do with some payout, there were also some cases where Covid was put as a cause of death when we know the other underlying conditions were the culprit. In saying that, that happened in the infancy of this thing and now I'm not seeing that much, there also are no longer really any big payouts for charting that like there were last year.

I know some nurses that are making more than me right now, it's crazy, but good for them, get it while they can. Once the pandemic is over those jobs will dry up

I have a colleague visiting from Mississippi currently, stopped by the hospital here, was telling me that the situation in Mississippi is pretty bad. He works ICU and hospital floors. Also the nursing short staffing is getting brutal down there and it's contributing to the giant mess that is 2021.

I won't lie, this whole "hero" phrase has grown tiresome along my cohort of coworkers, we signed up for this field and pandemics are always a possibility. Just like when I was sent overseas in the military, that was always a possibility when I enlisted. I wasn't a hero then and I'm not now. I'm just a person that works in a field that crushes your soul most days. Instead of calling us heroes, just give us free coffee and more days off, we'll call it even 😊

What if Jack just put up an emoji regarding something in his personal life; female drama, etc.... I know a ton of people that love to put passive aggressive crap up for nonspecific reasons. I mean, sure, it could be because he's not traded, but it also could mean absolutley nothing.
