Losing Josh Frickin Bloom absolutely was a pain point bringing hysteria. And we got something in return. Tou have a short memory if we lose a 4A guy to waivers and you think the reaction will be “meh”. Bank on it. Regardless, we’re losing one of those. And I would be absolutely shocked if UPL or Comrie is exposed to waivers, so the list is shorter. I can hear the cries of “bad asset management “ in the distance already.

Correct me if I am wrong, but weren’t you the guy losing his ***** over losing Josh Bloom? Of course losing any of those to waivers is going to result in over reaction.

Nothing Ive seen so far convinces me that we won’t end up carrying 3 goalies to start the season. We just don’t have a bonafide #2 so far and Levi is still a bit of an unknown as a starter.

I am woefully under qualified to say whether Benson sticks or not, so I won’t make a prediction. That said, my concerns are mostly in regard to the combo of size and physical maturity that makes me fear for his safety, generally, when up against full time NHL size and speed. I would be less concerned if he were physically developed. Maybe he is. I’ve never seen the kid in person. However I am also concerned for what his WHL situation might be. Maybe he is better off here? I would be somewhat surprised if he didn’t get a 9 game tryout. Between that and practice with a full NHL squad, I expect there will be a very good read on his readiness for the NHL.

Beach sure seems to have had the poor circumstance of ending up in awful organization after awful organization. Wow.

Rather icky, but not as egregious as I expected. I’d need context before reacting much either way. That age group is mostly kids. Teens, sure. Still kids. Riding 4hrs in sweaty unis isn’t the most egregious way of penalizing kids, but I’d like to hear the rationale given 1. Mostly kids and 2. Preseason game. My first thought is, coach is trying too hard to assert dominance. But I’m not sure I would call this specific incident abusive either. Worthy of calling him a dick. I’d need a pattern to fine/suspend unless there is a rule that he broke. I’ll accept dickweed here.
