  1. I was in the process of typing out a post about how disheartening it would be to be a seller again this year at the deadline. Then I stopped and deleted it all because, can it get more disheartening than it already is/has been?
  2. They’re gonna trade Greenway AND Mitts? fire him.
  3. Regarding ypur last question, yes. They were trying to improve the team now, hence the inclusion of Sobotka and Sad Pants.
  4. Wait…. A Greenway trade is imminent? KA is a bum.
  5. All of them. Everyone. At all of the cost.
  6. After EJ twice came to the aid of teammates previously, I really wanted to see someone step up and do the same for EJ last night. EJ gonna think twice next time.
  7. Ryan Miller may disagree.
  8. Emphasis on “unintentionally”. IF the intent were to adjust the timeline, you could make an argument that the trade was positive. But it was clear that Sobotka and Berglund were intended to help the team in the present while the magic beans took root. Clearly that was not the result. It was a lousy trade when judged on intent, leaving out the variables of what the prospect and pick became. Not Hasek for hot garbage bad, but bad nonetheless.
  9. De ja vu or is it Vu ja de? I never remember.
  10. Religion, politics, same thing.
  11. Always liked him. Enjoy your retirement.
  12. He sees the train wreck is still barreling down the track.
  13. I decided to commute home from work at noon today to avoid any mess should that snow band decide to migrate back south while I am at work. Commercial traffic on I-90 is banned from Rochester to the PA line west due to the weather. I passed 4 semis pulled over westbound on my ride home. And a 5th was on the shoulder and appeared to be unoccupied. I have to think driving a truck on a roadway with an active ban risks losing your class 1 license.
  14. Flourish is relative. They played better, and still stumbled when things got interesting. They have not shown anything resembling tenacity, and they have put themselves in a deep enoigh hole thst actual dominance is the requirement at this point. Im not advocating Comrie for Levi. I am lamenting no outside help. It will definitely affect our ability to become dominant for this last half.
  15. Nah, man. The performance will percolate out.
  16. This is a very strained comparison. The Bills have demonstrated the ability to hang with the best in the league consistently, and internal struggles put them in a situation that required winning out to make the playoffs. But they had demonstrated the ability to dominate consistently beforehand. The Sabres need a very similar end of season performance and have never demonstrated the ability to pit on a run of dominance. Sometimes optimism is a fools errand.
  17. My wife still uses one regularly.
  18. I don’t remember the name of the medical condition he suffered from. I assumed it wasn’t sufficiently treatable. I can only honestly hope that it is treatable enough that he can go back to his dream. That would be ***** amazing.
  19. Smell my finger.
  20. And they say you don’t have any positives in you.
  21. You’ve heard it from me before, but regardless of playoff likelihood, we have to keep the foot on the gas. For multiple reasons. Not the least of which is improving our ability to recruit veteran players that will actually improve the competitiveness of the team. My issue is, I don’t think that “foot on the gas” is in Levi’s best interests. And in that regard, I consider KA to be somewhat derelict in his duties to not have reacted and found an outside goalie that fits “foot on the gas” and allows Levi to develop and play at the appropriate level.
