Every season he’s shown flashes of high end skill, but somehow it just wasn’t translating on the ice. This season it is translating on the ice. I can’t see what is different, but it is working for him this year. He is easy to root for. It’s been fun to watch.

Is Yuri back?

Wasn’t Casey’s injury the result of a slash? Or was it something else?

I think this is “get 100% healed boys. No need to rush back”. I’m more convinced than ever that this is a shadow tank.

Is Don Granato the best coach the Sabres have had since Lindy Ruff?

Yeah, I’ve been waiting a little longer before turning off the games this season. -

ROR is what I assume he was referring to. -
Noone is ready for top minutes when they come up.

Mu sister has it currently. Vaccinated, and it doesn’t seem to be a severe. She was exposed by someone she works with that got sick and wouldn’t get tested until she was forced to. We are a selfish society.

Thats only one way. The other is to have players on the roster better than them to get past, not placeholders.

Sounds lime you have enough imagination to imagine you as a positive person! -

I dunno. I don’t have much of an imagination. -
See my comments re hockey IQ elsewhere today. We don’t know ***** about Ristos IQ and you can’t measure it to compare to anyone anyway. It’s the same as calling Dahlin dumb, which PA took so much ***** for. Risto is alot of things. Dumber than average on the ice probably isn’t one of them. I’ll disagree that they became what we expected. Certainly not what I expected. I think they all had it in them however.

Maybe in relative height. Tage isn’t stocky and doesn’t play a big mans game like Andy did. Tage is a way better skater.

***** if I know. And that wasn’t my point anyway.

Andy had plenty of playoff goals in Buffalo. That wasn't it. He was perceived as part of a failed core that couldn't get past the 1st playoff round for 10 seasons, not unlike the failed post-Drury/Briere core.

I think they all would have been better in a winning, mentored environment. I think the frequent unwinnable games that sapped their spirit also held them back. They were never able to experience playing for something and that drive and hunger was set aside and replaced with drudgery. And they never had to challenge players that knew how to rise to the occasion to win their jobs. That in itself is a developmental step. They came in, won a position over a non NHL player, and never were challenged to take the next step because the team never approached that threshold. Another developmental step. Imagine if Jack, Sam, or Risto were plunked onto the Boston Bruins roster at age 20. Or Colorado. Or Vegas. I think they become very different players.

Oh hell, I'm not going to be able to satisfy that request. I don't have a single play from any player, from any game this year that struck me so thoroughly that I've got it stored in memory and can critically discuss it. You guys that do it always surprise me. I keep it in the moment. What I see is a platoon C, not a 2C. A platoon C that will provide offensive pressure.

I agree that Tage is still improving. I don't agree that his stats are more than a result of being forced at a level above where he should be. I am having trouble with putting it to words. Derek Plante..... Had a really nice season with Donald Audette and (was it Randy Burridge, maybe) on his wing, and again when he was forced into a featured role when LaFontaine went down long term. But after getting traded to Dallas, a stacked team, he was a part time NHL player. Not suggesting TT is destined to be a part time NHL player. Am suggesting that mediocre players can be made to look better when forced into elevated roles with linemates they normally wouldn't have. TT has risen to the occassion. But I think we will not be a good team as long as TT is a featured player. We will be a good team when TT is a support player.

Those songs are old enough that you shouldn’t trust someone with sharp instruments if they are familiar with them. #shakeyhands #essentialtremors
