  1. Boy, Chara’s defensive game, even without the nasty? Sign me up. Power, Mule, and a Dahlin that doesn’t have to be the featured D man? Hope.
  2. That would be the Jochen Hecht of NHL franchises.
  3. And that is a definite possibility. He would probably only be a 1C on Buffalo’s roster though. I don’t envision good team 1C as his ceiling, but I do see interim 1C while the eventual 1C is groomed. If everyone hits their probable peak we may have 3 or 4 C’s that are all within a step of each other, but with different traits. Shades of 06-07.
  4. He’s a dog lover. I’m in.
  5. Does he get top 4 wings over Mitts and Cozens? That will be when we can decide if he is a legit top 6 center.
  6. Somebody really messed up this poor girl we adopted. She is the sweetest thing and it is apparent that she’s been mistreated. We’ve got our work cut out for us to get her trusting humans again.
  7. Using draft currency to move into a different tier ≠ chasing the draft. If there is a center they like and they have a package that makes sense to go get him, absolutely do it.
  8. Good work, Duds. Let the draft come to you, don't chase the draft
  9. Ostlund is a good hockey name. There is your pick.
  10. You hope like hell it was a misunderstanding of intent. But it certainly may not have been a misunderstanding. Better for everyone that the worst was assumed and tragedy averted.
  11. I don't really follow prospects/draft to any extent, especially prospects for other teams, so my awareness of Kreb's abilities is limited at this point. But the sense I get from what I've seen and read here is, Krebs might be more a Curtis Brown type (understanding that Brown's stats are somewhat depressed given he played in the dead puck era).
  12. As Dudacek (I think) so sagely noted, Adam Creighton. Somewhere between 2C and 3C on a decent team.
  13. Clarence center flea market next to Antique World, Sundays in warm weather season. First Sunday of each month is a sort of garage sale day with dozens of tables outside in addition to the booth vendors.
  14. That 3rd D pairing looks like a 6 minute/game pairing.
  15. It has to have Roman numerals on the back, right?
  16. I think in Adams mind that is exactly what’s happening. Or, more likely, I am projecting.
  17. This is our 2nd dog from Blue Moon. We adopted a ~12 week old chocolate lab from them and he was the best dog I’ve ever experienced. Just a lovable goof of a dog. He was the perfect dog for our family. He was part of a litter that was found in an Ohio woodlot. So far so good. We took another long walk today. Her first daylight walk in this neighborhood. She definitely has a strong prey drive when it comes to the abundant squirrels around here. I have a feeling the squirrels will be avoiding our backyard like their like depends on it. She really comes alive on the leash. Totally drops her guard and becomes happy dog and puts her personality on display. It’s obvious that someone in a prior life worked with her on the leash.
  18. COVID hit my sisters family pretty hard just in time for Christmas. Her son started getting symptoms on the 22nf and tested positive on the 23rd. Her youngest daughter started symptoms on Christmas morning and tested positive yesterday. My sister had COVID during the Thanksgiving holiday so she was very excited to see family on Christmas since they missed out Thanksgiving. She was extremely disappointed to have fate intervene for Christmas. Everyone was fully vaccinated and boosted and symptoms have been relatively mild.
  19. Blue Moon Meadows
  20. Not really a Christmas gift, but we brought home our rescue dog today. She did fantastic for having her world upside down. 7 days ago she was in a pound in Kentucky. She spent a week at a foster home here in NY, and she came home with us at 1:30 this afternoon. She's had a good meal. She follows us around the house, and she's claimed the left side of the couch as hers. We took her for a long walk and she was fantastic on the leash. She's snoring loudly now. Getting comfortable already.
  21. The Cleveland Barons really grind my gears.
  22. Bah humbug! Not really. Wishing all good cheer.
  23. PA takes alot of lumps, but he’s almost always thought provoking. He’s always a welcome voice in my mind.
