  1. Clowe is a great player. The Canucks were in on him and he even said he'd be happy to play for them as early as 2 days ago. But if Buffalo could get him, they should. We definitely need some more jam in our lineup. As for the trade today. Reiger did fleece Minny for sure. Pommers is a good player but this trade really is a good move by the Sabres.
  2. Not sure how it is in other markets but how often do you hear from from owners unless they are media whores like Jerry Jones or Mark Cuban? In Vancouver I couldn't tell you the last time I heard from the Canucks owner. I don't really think the owner need to speak unless he feels the need to. He has people who do that for him. There will be a time when he speaks but it's not alarming that we haven't heard from TP
  3. It's funny looking at all the negative posts. Concerned about our d for the rest of this mini season? Why? If any year you want to suck, it's in a shortened season. Reload, retool and start fresh next year with a new coach and new outlook. Regher didn't really play like be did when I saw him play against the nucks. In fact, he was somewhat of a disappointment if you ask me. Much like the team.
  4. If the Sabres can get Bernier out of LA then I say do it. The kid can play and he can't in LA. That would allow a Miller trade somewhere else and free up some cash too. Not sure how it can be done, but getting a goalie like Bernier would be a very sweet move by Buffalo. I just hope they drop the interim coach immediately after the season ends and get someone behind the bench who will right this ship.
  5. Just finished waxing my 2012 Kia Rio and did so sipping on a Tree Brewing "Thirsty Beaver" amber ale. Ahhhhhhh
  6. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Kass has had a bad back and missed 8 of 9 games so its probably a good opp to get him some game action and not affect the big club.
  7. Maybe that's why rr put coho on the 4th line tonight. Couldn't send down the team's leading scorer (who was in the lineup) so they put him with Scott and Kaleta. What a joke.
  8. I was wondering what that was all about. Seriously, coho may have his deficiencies but that is just a complete waste. It's almost like telling the opposition that you aren't really trying to win.
  9. Yes he played poorly on the road bit the team didn't score!!!!! You can't blame a goalie when the team gets 8 goals for and still wins 3. He won them 2 games with 1 zip wins.
  10. Lets recap the Stanley cup scores where Luo choked away the Cup. Canucks 1- bruins 0 Canucks 3 - bruins 2 Bruins 8-Canucks 1 Bruins 4- Canucks 0 Canucks 1 - bruins 0 Bruins 5. - Canucks 2 Bruins 4 - Canucks 0 So Lou gets 2 shutouts and an OT win. In the 3 wins he let in 2 goals. In the losses the Canucks scored 1 goal, 2 goals and 0 zero goals. Silly choker Loungo not getting 4 shutouts and not scoring any goals in game 7 himself. The Canucks won 3 games scoring 5 goals and in total scored a whopping 8 goals in 7 games. The fact they won 3 games is a testament to Luongo's abilities.
  11. The Canucks LOVE. Tanev. He's going nowhere.
  12. The Kings are not fun to watch and the nucks played a very solid road game. It wasn't like a devils/press ge circa 5 years ago though.
  13. Here's what you do then. Just live your life and don't watch them play or listen. If you withdraw it's easy. Trust me, being in BC I obviously don't see many games and admit that when they are on TV and I watch, I cannot root against them either. But if I don't watch then I'm ok. They have to stop this almost making the playoffs routine and get a top pick and reboot. Montreal was last in the east last year and look at them now.
  14. Myers is fine. Leave him be. He's the real deal and is only going to get better. Guess what? All players make mistakes. Deal with it.
  15. Watching Canucks / Kings. Why I don't know. Anyway, I absolutely despise Mike Richards. The guy doesn't stop whining to the refs. After every whistle he's crying to them. Speaking of the kings, last month upon returning home from Disneyland, I ended up saying hello and shaking hands with Mr Ted Nolan, while at LAX. He said he was in town to see his kid playa few games.

    Keep 5

Myers Hodgson Ehrhoff Ott Foligno Vanek injured far too much
  17. Miller is much more likely to rip his mates instead. I would venture to say that Miller is not well liked in that room. Louie is. Look at the numbers lifetime. Louie wins imo
  18. Who? Louie is better. He doesn't throw his mates under the bus. He takes the hits for his poor games. As for saying Luongo chokes in big games. In the finals the Canucks won 3 games, 2 by SO. They couldn't score. Chiding opinions isn't needed. I've seen both goalies play, a lot. Luongo has been on some bad teams too but still manages to put up better numbers than Miller.
  19. Bingo
  20. Luongo is 2.52, 919 % , 62 SO (29 in Florida) Miller is 2.59, 914 %, 28 SO Lou game 7 finals I'll take Lou
  21. Guys/gals For what Miller makes compared to Luongo, I would take Lou over miller any day. Luongo is elite year in year out, on good and bad teams. Is he Hasek, no, but he's clearly better than Miller. If the Sabres can deal Miller, they should. also, Lou is liked by his mates, I don't think Ryan is by his. Heck Miller being a biatch was mentioned by Neil Smith last night on the broadcast I watched. Ouch
  22. It's decisions like the Edler suspension that makes me realize why I don't invest my emotions in this game anymore. Edler goes behind the net where the goalie is handling the luck, he runs into him and really has very little area where he can go and it's worth 2 games? Yet Lucic has the entire ice to elude a bit, and much more time I might add and he gets two games. The NHL is an absolute joke in so many ways. They suspend some for little, don't for lots. They allow illegal goals and don't allow good ones. They have the most inconsistent reffing. They give 2 point games and 3 point games as well. I'm sorry but each passing year I get more and more fed up with this league. I wish another league could start up and do things right. It's no wonder it's got less tv ratings than bowling. I am just so aggravated by this suspension. It's a mess. I can only hope that one day someone will run this league properly and get things sorted out. NHL hockey is just not all that any longer. It's too bad this great game is being dragged farther and farther down wih each passing day. A suspension for a clean hit on a player wih the most protection on the ice? A penalty, sure. A fine, ok. What a mess. Just watched it. Wow. Did Torts rant and rave in disgust over that hit? Nash's hit is way worse than Lupul's. Seriously, the NHL IS A F'ING JOKE
  23. I cannot believe the Sabres are 4 out with a game in hand. Pathetic really. I just noticed Cody H now has 24 pts. Not too shabby actually. He has lots to work on but I'm happy with this trade still. Big Zack has just 5 g and 3 a.
  24. Folks, the NHL loves the "sometimes" 3 point game because it falsely makes the standings very tight and gives the perception that more teams have a shot at the playoffs. If they do the right thing and give 3 for reg win, 2 for ot win and 1 for ot/so loss, zero for reg loss, the standings will look like the English Premier League (soccer) and have 3 or 4 teams at the top and everyone else way behind. The NHL won't do the 3 teams are relegated route and teams that start poorly and are buried lose fans interest. The current way lets the league tout the "parody" jargon and makes everyone who's not blind, think the league is amazing. Personally if you are gonna give points it should be 3 reg win, 2 ot win, 1 ot loss, 0 reg loss or go the NBA/MLB route. Sadly we are dealing with the NHL. The league that doesn't allow a hair in the crease goal all year long, until the deciding goal in the Stanley Cup Finals. The league that doesn't realize that 2 mins for hooking shouldn't equal 2 minutes for elbowing someone in the face. The same league that has 3 lockouts in less than 20 years.
