  1. Oh shut up you, your hate for Pegula is well documented and completely unnecessary here. I have zero issue with them trying to hex the opposing goalie
  2. Okposo is skating in molasses nowadays. It’s sad to see
  3. The PP is just so completely out of sync
  4. He’s looked a bit better, the giveaway that gave Crosby that chance was forced by two Penguin sticks. we haven’t played great tonight but we seem to be getting zero bounces tonight.
  5. BS goal, didn’t even look like a skill play as much as a lucky bounce off UPL’s head.
  6. Reminds me of how he seized on the opportunity in Rochester when Quinn was hurt.
  7. Savoie is a certainly victim of the AHL/CHL rules. He was nearly a PPG in Rochester, isn't ready yet for the NHL and is forced back into Juniors. I'm surprised they didn't keep him a bit longer but I'm guessing Granato must of saw some deer in the headlights against the Wild's crazed physicality and told Adams he wasn't quite ready for NHL men yet. Benson will likely get some AHL games and his max in the NHL before joining his buddy. We did learn though that Benson seems to handle the larger players better than Savoie thus far in regards to the psyche.
  8. Levi was great Mitts was possessed out there Greenway was solid as usual Cozens was half good half terrible Refs tried to screw us Hope JJP is ok Dahlin wasn’t cooking but was solid regardless
  9. Minnesota has 2 goals on weak and or phantom calls
  10. 1. The PP needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from scratch 2. Levi has played very well 3. I want the ice redone, I have never seen teams have so many issues with puck handling as they seem to have here. Its likely at least some of issue our team has with over shooting passes.
  11. Seems like the refs toss our guys out of draws exclusively
  12. I though follow-through sticks were ok
  13. I believe the shot was on the ice and quite literally found it’s way beneath Levi as he’s doing the splits across.
  14. I'd rather take him than let him some magically improve the Leafs. Kane is a Sabre killer after all
  15. I’d give Kane 3x1mil, then when he grinds down due to his hip like all others he’ll just go on LTIR and be a Sabres alumni and teach stickhandling tricks
  16. Cozens isn't a trade chip in any realm
  17. I'm not happy we lost the bonus point but I'm glad we still got a point. Evenly fought game analytically 5v5 and that's no easy feat against Carolina's depth and D corp. So I'm a bit disappointed but certainly not angry. They didn't lose due to a lack of effort or looking inept; they just had a bit of bad luck and 3v3 can be a literal crapshoot. UPL should've held the puck Now lets go sweep the weekend games and get to 5-1-1 in our last 7
  18. Buffalo outplaying Carolina but down 1-0 ugh
  19. We have mediocre to bad goaltending Edmonton has a literal tire fire in net
  20. Not a great night in the standings Florida won Toronto won in OT vs Tampa
  21. To me it honestly depends how far, if we are out at Thanksgiving, are we out. For instance, presently the Sabres are in a 3/4 way tie for a spot but other teams have a game in hand. So at worst, 2/3 pts. If we are within a game’s points; I’m not going to hand wring over being 4th in the division and 9th in the conference. I’ve always seen it as more of a general guide, more than a set in stone 75/80% rule. If we are 10-9-0 with 20 pts at Thanksgiving, it’ll depend on the standings. Most importantly, we cannot have any losing streaks more than 3 games the whole season. If you play .500 hockey most of the time and add a couple 4 game winning streaks to the bunch you’ll be right around 95 pts. The Sabres need to bring it all together by Game 25, but must at very least have 28 pts after 25 games. From there you need to play better but as long as you are “put together” theoretically you should do better if their disjointed time was still a hair over .500.
  22. Great win, the 11-7 worked well in part because it removed some of the pressure off Dahlin and Power who played huge minutes and even EJ who had to step up when Muel went down. They didn’t use either a ton but the safety net was there. Can’t fault Levi on his 4 GA, 3 were from one of the best scorers in the league and the other was a clear breakaway to another top player. He also made some clutch saves. Forwards all looked good, Tuch has had a rough season thus far but he brought it tonight, especially when it mattered the most. Greenway is going to end up the unsung hero by season’s end if he keeps up his work. Sabres match up well with more finesse based teams; they seemingly just have fits against the very physical teams that have speed advantage in addition.
  23. With how Okposo is doing, I’m sort of curious if he’ll retire after hitting game 1000. He can’t possibly be happy with how he’s playing but to reach 1000 games is a serious accomplishment.
