How can our team seemingly never improve? No matter what we try to fix; everything else around it just breaks and we’re back at square one.

Funny thing, both teams had 1/2 shots for the first 6 minutes and kept losing a shots on the stats.

Are we cursed? It’s like the worst possible circumstance is the default for us.

More like the powerless play.... They need to move more and cycle with their feet not just with passing from particular quadrants like immobile turrets in a tower defense game. Thompson should occasionally work his way behind the net while Dahlin flows into his spot and the middle guy, Tuch, covers the point. Then continue to move around drawing the attention of the PKers to Thompson moving about and other guys moving around flowing from place to place. Thompson is most deadly at his shot point but isn't inept otherwise, he still has a deadly shot from any spot in the offensive zone and demands attention by the PKers. If he were to work around the net while the puck cycles up top he may end up open in Norris's spot or given a space to work to the center for a snap shot. Meanwhile another guy may end up left alone in Thompson's usual area creating chaos amongst the PK. Right now I feel like I'm watching the old NHL games animated depictions of different Power Play Set Ups, very stiff and looped.

Benson and Kulich have Top 6 skill and Zucker is a former Top 6 guy. I do agree though that Kevyn blew it.

Call up Helenius or let Thompson play center

Why does it feel like whenever we get someone with any degree of injury history it only gets worse and yet the reverse happens for everyone else

Well that sucked, per usual NHL sets Buffalo up to lose in Game 1 by putting us against a team that already played a game and with a Top 3 goalie. We go 0-4 on PP and every good chance was stopped by the jackass in their net. Feels like no matter the players, the coaches, the front office and even the effort doesn’t make a difference.

Got better as the period went on, not surprised that the Rangers came out fast after their lackluster game against Pittsburgh. Refs seem blind though to any Ranger infractions.

Early in his career, he’d play solid for 3 to 5 games when needed before sitting in the press box a month. Likely because he’d play simple hockey and not try to over play to keep a roster spot.
