Ennis-McEichel-Kane Moulson-Reinhart-Girgs Larsson-Grigs-Gionta Deslauriers-McCormick-Foligno Here's a roster without any real changes per say I'd really like Justin Williams however due to his recent Cup Winnings, clutch play, and general skill. Forgot Larsson

I've never liked Bylsma rather it be due to the whole Olympics mess or his inability to win a 2nd Cup with the All Star team he had, I've just never liked him. Babcock by far would be an awesome coach, and I agree somewhat with dej in that he'd likely get us to a Finals by Year 3. And even next year we'd likely hang around until the end or squeak in potentially. McLellan would be tied with Tippet as my 2nd choice after Babcock, both have had a lot of successful seasons and have merely been unable to get too far in the playoffs. Julien, I'm on the fence with because I can't tell if he's helping prop up the Bruins aging roster or are they propping him up.

Game discussion thread GDT: HELL YES BEAT THE PENS 4/11/15

Don't look now but Regier might try to sign that squirrel -
This makes no sense to me to be honest, he's put up relatively good points since the half way mark of the season. While his goal production is down, he's 2nd on the team in points with a boat load of assists.

Remember Chad Johnson is under contract for next year so I'd assume he'll be here. And I'd go after Niemi, let Hacket walk due to his chronic knee trouble, and let the other prospect goalies fight in the minors. None of them have truly impressed on any consistent basis thus far. -
Game discussion thread GDT: HELL YES BEAT THE PENS 4/11/15

We'll need to wear down their D-men, they only have 4 with legit NHL experience and 1 random guy. Finish every check, use physicality to bully the Pens into submission, after all that's generally the strategy teams use against them. -

"We Always Loved the Sabres" World Premiere!

Damn good, aside from the 1st verse where some of it was hard to understand, the rest was really well done. -
Kane-McEichel-Girgs Moulson-Reinhart-Ennis Grigs-Larsson-Gionta 44-McCormick-Foligno Risto-Bogo Gorges-Pysyk Weber-UFA Niemi Johnson Zadorov starts in AHL if possible, McCabe does as well for now. Hodgson I'm at a loss what to do with.

Felt bad for Risto who had a +2 and 3a tonight but other than that, Thank God!

Report: Murray discussing trading 2015 1st with Colorado
thewookie1 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Another thought is in the event we pick 3rd, he makes this trade, then he turns around and trades Col and the other 1st to move back up and grab whomever drops to 5-7 from the top end group after McEichel -
Report: Murray discussing trading 2015 1st with Colorado
thewookie1 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I'd have to guess this is his plan in the event we get 3rd overall in the draft. Seeing as Strome/Hanifan wouldn't be quite as useful for us with us presently having plenty of D prospects and Strome and Reinhart are too similar. -
Risto is really coming into his own, he really seems to be getting better game by game.

I was reading one of the NHL's mock drafts and saw Marner dropping to Pick 8, do you think it'd be possible in that scenario to trade up from the late teens early 20s?

GDT: New Jersey at Buffalo. 3/20/2015 7:00 MSG
thewookie1 replied to Doohickie's topic in The Aud Club
Risto is a testament to how a young player should be allowed to develop. He got a taste of the NHL, was given vet leadership and goals to accomplish in the AHL, brought back near the season's end to get a status gauge. Then see if over the summer he embraces the NHL lifestyle or not, and in his case he certainly did. I just wish Zadorov would pick up some pointers from what Risto has learned over the past 2 years. Zadorov needs to be convinced that 40 games in the AHL next year paired with a vet D-man would be beneficial to him far more than the KHL. Poor Grigo may have been ****ed up thanks to Regier and Nolan- 139 replies

I'd say GMTM isn't saying as much that he desires lottery pick over the playoffs but rather is merely stating that he doubts the team going worst to great in a year. Remember all non playoff teams have a lottery pick, and he is kind of saying he doesn't mind a lottery pick seeing as the lottery exists.

Risto played 28+ min tonight. A respectable loss with Deslauire and Foligno playing their roles well.
-
Win 1 of 3 we are allowed will likely occur tonight. I just love raking the Leafs too much to care about the panzer for tonight. Destroy them Buffalo 12-1 Ennis with a hat-trick, Gionta with a hat-trick, Foligno, Risto, Zadorov, and Bogo have 1 goal a piece and lastly Moulson has a 2 goal game. Ennis and Moulson both finish the night with 7 points and when Ennis gets his hat-trick the Leafs throw jerseys on the ice. Gionta's hat-trick leaves many Leaf fans without shirts in general causing a small pandemic of influenza in the city and causing the stock market to drop 200pts on Friday.

Yup, Goathead really isn't anything great in a vacuum, but it makes you think of the very successful runs they had while wearing it. After all, the Game 6 Briere OT winner was the last time we had it in Buffalo. I've always wondered though, why wasn't it like this. Aside from visual balance what was that jutting out to the right of the head?

I'd go with a Blue & Gold version of the 99 jersey with the Bills standing Buffalo logo, in gold, on one shoulder and on the other the blue & gold version of the B You'd use a design similar to the one Neuvirth had on his mask Where there's red you switch it for gold black becomes blue white stays white
