  1. What about Tomas Fleischmann, how much would Florida want for him and would we even want him?
  2. Do you not understand...... They are compensation picks if Perry leaves after this season; seeing as why should we get screwed if he walks. It would just be insurance since a combination of Pommers,Leopold/Sekera,a D-prospect, and maybe even a 2nd/3rd rounder is easily worth 2 1sts and a 3rd rounder + Perry rental for a month. Pominville it at very least worth a 1st and a 2nd rounder, Leo/Sekera are around 2nd/3rd rounders + D-prospect and 3rd Rounder, In the end if Perry didn't sign with Buffalo after being traded here We would get Pommers for a 1st this year, and a 3rd next year. Leo/Sekera + D- Prospect + 3rd Rounder for next years 1st rounder.
  3. I was meaning conditional compensation if Perry wouldn't sign.
  4. What? Actually trying to think of trade ideas? You guys would practically trade half our team for 1 pick and be willing to wait 5+ years for us to even hope for a cup again. Corey Perry – $5.3 million. Asking price would likely be a roster player, 1st round pick and a good prospect. (ESPN) Roster player- Pommers is more than a common roster player We have good D- prospects Throw in a D-Man like Leopold/Sekera We may have to throw in a 2nd or 3rd rounder but nothing we can't recoup through other trades.
  5. Pommers and a D-Prospect for Corey Perry + (Conditional 1st rounders this year + next and a 3rd rounder next year if Perry won't sign with us) Leopold for 2nd Rounder Stafford for 3rd Rounder Hecht for 2nd/3rd Rounder Adam for 4th Rounder Regehr for 2nd/3rd Rounder In the end we dump a bunch of rentals, Pommers, and 2 prospects for Corey Perry 1-3 2nd Rounders 1-3 3rd Rounders 1 4th Rounder If that all was worked out, next I would attempt to use 1 2nd rounder and 2 3rd rounder / 2 2nd Rounders to get a late 1st rounder off of someone.
  6. These refs should be investigated after the game, additionally what's the link for the NHL complaint email? If you are going to throw out Scott, you throw out their guy too. Nice goal by Flynn and the Rochester Amerk line.
  7. FORWARDS Thomas Vanek ($7.143m) / Cody Hodgson ($3.00m) / Jason Pominville ($5.300m) Steve Ott ($2.950m) / Tyler Ennis ($2.813m) / Corey Perry ($8.500m) Nathan Gerbe ($1.450m) / Mikhail Grigorenko ($1.775m) / Marcus Foligno ($0.900m) Patrick Kaleta ($1.250m) / Kevin Porter ($0.538m) / Brian Flynn ($1.074m) Corey Tropp ($0.778m) DEFENSEMEN Christian Ehrhoff ($4.000m) / Alexander Sulzer ($1.025m) Tyler Myers ($5.500m) / Robyn Regehr ($2.500m) Mike Weber ($1.500m) / Andrej Sekera ($2.750m) Brayden McNabb ($0.900m) / T.J. Brennan ($0.805m) GOALTENDERS Ryan Miller ($6.250m) OTHER Buried: Cody McCormick ($0.275m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,124,482; BONUSES: $910,000 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $3,085,518 Would this work?
  8. If we are still below 30 pts by April 1st we have no hope in making the playoffs so I would assume we would at least entertain the seller role because of there being a small market of teams selling rentals. We have Expirery Rentals: F Hecht 1.25mil D Sulzer 725k D Pardy 2mil D Leopold 3mil D Brennan 550k RFA (Prospect too) D Regehr 4.02mil (NTC) (I doubt very much seeing how we got him in the 1st place) Longer term players: Stafford 4mil (2 more years) Gerbe 1.45mil (1 more then RFA) Sekera 2.75mil (2 more years) Prospects: Adam RFA + maybe 1 D-Man We have ample to offer, we may not deem them all amazing assets; but to other teams they may see them differently Remember Briere when we got him. Sometimes a new location is all a player needs to be woken up. Leopold will fetch more than a 3rd Rounder if the market contracts due to most teams being in the hunt. Leopold might be able to get us a 1st rounder in the right circumstances if there are few D up for trade.
  9. Well that certianly doesn't help Buffalo in the slightest; how the hell are we going to get 4 stars on the team like Chicago does?
  10. But Getzlaf has a cap hit of 8.2 which matches his 66mil in contract years, not his 6 mil in bonuses.
  11. Is there a limit on a signing bonus? Like is it possible to sign Perry to a 8 yr 40mil contract with 3 mil signing bonuses every year in order to keep his cap hit at 5mil. If so, why not do similair contracts for Miller, Pommers, and Vanek?
  12. I wouldn't blame Enroth for that goal seeing as he did get injured and he kept us in the game at time during the game. I blame it on the rest of the team; you must win a game you get a 2 goal lead.
  13. He wants to play against his former team it seems.
  14. Supposedly the Avs may way want to trade Statsny.... His production has gone down, but that might also mean a cheaper contract next year.
  15. Why do you want Ott to be a mailman? ;)
  16. He's sort of like a big man who can't decide between being a scorer or a checker. Gets about 1.3 hits per game and is younger than Stafford.
  17. I wouldn't trade Vanek, Miller, or Pommers for him though. He's damn good, but he's a head case
  18. Hopefully Vanek is back to his old self against the Rangers; seeing as Hodgson and Pommers surely stepped up their games today. Myers played fine up until that one play, then he seemed to shrink. Roly, kick him back out of his funk. Myers must literally have no inner-strength because one bad play turns him into a farse. Griggy got an assist Hecht scored, someone tell him when on offense just to stand behind the net!
  19. I just want him as a mentor for our multiple young centers. Who are they to talk to? None of the coaching staff are former centers, and the only players with center experience are wingers who became centers.
  20. Darcy go get him, our young centers need a mentor. Plus he'll be cheap seeing as Philly needs to dump cap something bad.
  21. Go grab Briere for a pick Regier, get us something.......
  22. Briere (Flyers retain 17%) & a 2nd Rounder for a 3rd & 5th Rounder Helps the Flyers with Cap and Buffalo with their lack of leadership and a mentor for Hodgson My problem is, I can't figure out a way of fitting Briere (35% retained) & O'Reilly on the team along with Vanek, Pommers, and Miller. That's even with getting rid of Stafford, Gerbe, and Ennis So we may be better off just doing this: FORWARDS Thomas Vanek ($7.143m) / Cody Hodgson ($2.500m) / Jason Pominville ($5.300m) Scoring Line 1 Ville Leino ($4.500m) / Mikhail Grigorenko ($1.775m) / Corey Perry ($6.500m) Scoring Line 2 Steve Ott ($2.950m) / Ryan O'Reilly ($4.500m) / Marcus Foligno ($0.900m) Defensive Line 1 Kevin Porter ($0.538m) / Cody McCormick ($1.200m) / Patrick Kaleta ($1.250m) Energy Line Corey Tropp ($0.778m) DEFENSEMEN Tyler Myers ($5.500m) / Christian Ehrhoff ($4.000m) Andrej Sekera ($2.750m) / Mike Weber ($1.200m) Robyn Regehr ($2.250m) / Alexander Sulzer ($0.925m) Brayden McNabb ($0.900m) / GOALTENDERS Ryan Miller ($6.250m) Jhonas Enroth ($0.761m) About 2.75 (2.25) mil in cap space. That's with Stafford, Gerbe, Leopold, and Ennis all being gone. Regehr going cheaper due to age and production Perry signing for 6.5 mil a year Hodgson at 2.5 to 3mil O'Reilly at 4.5mil
  23. The sole reason I wanted Briere was primarily for his on ice leadership qualitites seeing as we seem lost and confused. I'm glad people agree with me on Drury, not only did he seem smart enough to be a assistant coach; but I honestly think he may be able to bring more push to the roster. Honestly who on the staff seems to be a player pusher? Plus Drury would make a great mentor.
