Honestly just fed up; it’s like the hockey gods hate Buffalo Not only do we miss by 1pt But our exes are in the Final. One we broke up with amicably and the other in an instagram picture deleting ugly breakup Yet the ex whom burned us seems to get all the luck and in all likelihood gets their dream achieved.

Well it was a BS call, that was at best a weak trip with a dive

I deleted it, just some angry posting Just so tired of the endless ball washing by the media that never existed when he was here. Plus tired of players asking out and being granted immediate success. If a player asks out, the GM should threaten to Tanya Harding them.

Enjoyed his use of chaos goalies versus structure goalies since it makes a lot of sense. Some goalies thrive in structure but suffer in chaos while other play well in structure but are better remembered for their play in chaos.

No thank you, it’s certainly tempting but the sheer multitude of what a Hellebuyck extension would look like and the age/ window difference turns me away rather fast. In no small part Helle’s age makes his conceivable window not align with the vast majority of players we have. His AAV + age will create issues by year 4 even if Hellebuyck continues to be a Top 10 goalie. How many 35+ year old goalies are still high tier in their play? The issue pops up since it’s borderline impossible for the Sabres to stun the world and conventional wisdom and win the Cup next year without any prior runs. Most commonly your core needs 2 or 3 serious runs before you can truly be considered a perennial Cup contender. Chicago did it in approximately 2. But that is rare. Pittsburgh took 3 to make the Finals and 4 to win. Hellebuyck’s age would be 34/35 in year 4 in this scenario. Most goalies begin to peter out at that point. Either they get bad, or less reliable with playing availability. I’d much rather have the goalie we could conceivably have for 15 years than one for 5.

Hopefully it’s 8x9.926mil

My proposal was UPL, 13, 45 for Hart, 22, 87 and LA 2024 5th
-
Strangely yes in terms of value

In the end one effective year doesn't erase the 3 or so bad ones
-
I'd be willing to do the 1st I don't budge on Kulich/Savoie

Perhaps we can merely move Philly’s 2nd as the primary pick. It would be certainly preferable
-
He’s an RFA next year, so we would at very least get a year to get to know him

I’m very confused by this trade from LA’s POV -
I’m actually moving down
-
I have reservations with Hart however My offer would be UPL, 13 and a 2nd for 22 and Hart At most
-
So so far Philly gets Petersen, Grans, Walker LAKs 1st and 2nd CbJ gets Provorov at 30% retention What is LA getting outside of cap space?
-
Looks that way lol

Severson wouldn’t be a good pickup due to his contract cost plus unnecessary skill set. He’s an offensively skilled defenseman with some issues in his own zone. We already have that in spades. -

That’s overkill for DeMelo who is also a 1 year contract and 30 years old. I’d offer Jokiharju and maybe a 4th for him. -
My max is 5 years and 7.5m

It's a very arbitrary definition because its an arbitrary idea. The Trade Deadline is rental day, well players traded in January are also called rentals usually. Is it simply any player acquired within the season? Analysts call guys acquired at the deadline with 1 year extra, A bit more than a rental Odds to a degree. A player with 1 year can get hurt and never play for you. A player with 2 years is far less likely to get hurt 2 straight seasons and never play for you.
-
A true rental is any UFA-to be player acquired for 1 or fewer seasons. If after trading for said player, the next July 1st he can walk, that's a rental. 2 year contracts are considered short term players but since they get 2 seasons with the team, they aren't rentals Close, its not purely based on Hallebuyck but also the lack of experience we have.

I just think even with Hallebuyck, the likelihood of a young team like ours getting beyond the 2nd round is small. 4 teams make the Conference Finals after all; it’s not exactly an easy feat to reach. Without Hallebuyck, the likelihood drops further and the most likely guess Id have is 1st round exit. if we could get Hallebuyck to agree to a 5x7.5mil extension then go get him
