GDT: Calgary @ Buffalo. 12.30pm. MSG B, ESPN+

Well this has sucked , plus wtf was the no call on CGY for grabbing Power. Dan has had two great lines describing this game. “Every puck is just out of reach” and that bounce on Tuch sums up the game -

Well we found the rust, it just was delayed by a period of adrenaline -
Should we start rooting for our opponents because rooting against them seems to not be working all too well

Mitts also has one https://www.youtube.com/@cmittelstadt1

Sort of off topic but Tage had a YouTube career lol https://www.youtube.com/@tommydangles97

Isles loss Panthers, Red Wings and Flyers all won

2 days straight everyone fails miserably to help us.

Boone Jenner, if there's one guy who fits most of what we lack it would be him. Good at Faceoffs, plays Center/Wing, hits everything that moves, willing to fight, good personality, playoff experience

8 x 9.99 🙂

Cozens Contract Extension Announced, 7 years 7.1 Million AAV

While I disagree with your take; I think your first post came off as being contrarian for the sake of it and thus created this whole issue. -

Very good contract; would of loved an 8th year but 7 ain't bad. Especially at 7.1mil -
Everyone sucks

Every team had their bye week connected to the All Star break this year. Half had it prior, half had it after
-
Yup that was our last playoff appearance. Sabres vs Flyers was both of our season finales and an OT game would lead to us playing each other in Rd 1. Effectively the final 5 minutes were players just skating with the puck waiting out the clock

According to the government site it was a 3.8 earthquake in West Seneca under some person’s house, based on the star they placed at the epicenter

Fine in Hamburg, scary though. Sounded like a giant plow driving by then a gust of wind hitting my house.

Well ok I guess lol

Rasmus Dahlin is replacing Tage Thompson in the All Star Game
thewookie1 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Is it cringy, sure But this definitely seems to be Dahlin's personality. An odd combination of confident awkwardness with some dry humorous moments thrown in. I too would build a moat to protect my sand castle from Victor Olofsson lol -
Naw I'm good with 3-2-1 or what we have presently
-
I think 9.99 might be possible but that’s still a bit of a stretch
-
Besides McDavid and Ovi Jr it has sucked

Dahlin is going to fall asleep at this rate -
I’d shoot you into the sun if you meddled with the playoff rounds. 4x7 is a beautifully brutal race to see whose team is the best and can stay the healthiest. No other playoff in pro sports is as incredible to watch as the NHL playoffs in no small part due to how it is. I’d go back to 1-8 seeding though. 1/2 division leaders and 3-8 being merely standings order. NHL playoff hockey is perfect, the first two rounds are crazy speed and skill with players flying around hitting people. By Round 3 they get worn down, and thus are forced to strategize far more against their opponent and we start to see heroes emerge. The guy playing with the broken wrist, or the random healthy scratch all season that magically pops up in the later rounds and makes a huge impact due to his freshness. The strategic game to game, period to period situations that pop up. 4x7 is what allows hockey’s champion to truly be a team accomplishment. Because depth is required in order to succeed; you can’t win with merely 3 super stars and some duct tape. In Football, a team can literally luck their way to a Super Bowl if given the right circumstances via injuries and environment. It’s merely 3 games. A great hockey team with crippling injuries can still win a series because theres 4 to 7 games worth of strategy and situations. It’s honestly part of what I love about hockey; it’s not just super teams and garbage or driven by about 3 key positions to decide relevance. In any other league except probably baseball, Edmonton would be a juggernaut with their two league leading scorers at the helm. But they aren’t, because hockey isn’t decided by any one player but rather the entire team. I don’t hate shootouts, would certainly look at 10mil 3v3 as a better option to cut down on shootouts. Utterly despise ties.

Essentially if we trade 2 1sts and a 2nd for Meier and aren’t able to sign him next year; we likely would only be able to recoup, at most, a conditional 1st due to his UFA status. I’d love to make the playoffs but spending that much to merely have a chance to make the playoffs isn’t worth it. Meier doesn’t magically make us a dark horse Cup contender. This is not the time to throw large assets at short term bandaids

Here's a interesting thought; what about acquiring Alec Martinez for cheap from Vegas; they need cap space and he'd give our defense a legitimate Cup Winner
