Tampa created a market and has grown it over the years. For unknown reasons, the Bucs and Lightning have had great success with creating a fervent fan base whereas the Rays have always been the ugly step child of the group. Florida, like other Miami teams, have rarely had more than masses of fair weather fans. If the team is bad, they just don’t care. If they are good, it’s hit and miss with ticket sales since many transplants already have a team they follow. You see that with the Panthers, Dolphins, Marlins. The Heat, I’d guess have a better fan base but I’m not as well versed with NBA.

Oh I agree KA isn’t dying on the hill of his quote; I just think Adams may not be interested in bringing back a guy who may of bailed on him. If it was truly a purely business situation it’s different; but if Adams thought he was signed and Ullmark played him along then I doubt he’d even give it a thought.

They are just attempting to dump their newly disliked players anywhere that can give them better spread talent. To be frank not one of those trades even interests me in the slightest. Matthews is a great player but is certainly of the new school ideas in hockey is purely a business and damning your team in order to get a few more million is completely reasonable. Additionally Tuch may not be our greatest player but he may actually be the most untouchable due to his importance to the team's makeup.

I’d be fine with 84, it’d be my max though. I understand the desire to lessen the game numbers for health and energy reasons but the league willingly giving up money is a nonstarter. 84 would give us a nice round number for all of the teams’ schedules with 2 vs Other Conference (32 games) 3 vs Other Division (24 games) 4 vs Divisional Opponents (28 games) No to any play in rounds; they only lessen the playoff race tension and add a stupid “pre-set” big game that may not have the slightest connection to the season. I’d shorten the pre-season by 2 games and start in the 2nd week of October.

I actually don’t have any issues in taking Mitchkov if he makes it to 13, sure we’d have to wait a while but we actually have a solid base to build on now and barring Reinbacher being there too, he’d be a perfect guy to just draft and forget. In 3 years or so when he can come over; we’ll have a Top 5 pick talent at 21/22 years old on an ELC just in time for a potential set of Cup runs
