I would have been fine with re-signing Halak and making him the #1 since he is a veteran who has put up good stats and can take the pressure off of everyone else while they try and piece things back together. But once TM basically said that he wasn't staying, I wanted them to find someone who could compete with Enroth for the #1 job and has the potential to start while someone in the minors develops and can step in. I like the idea of Neuvirth, he was supposed to be the guy in Washington and showed signs of being a decent #1 but because of issues was forced down the depth chart and wanted out. Lets see what he can do.

Your going to have to convince players to actually come here, and I would doubt that anyone with a choice between Buffalo and somewhere else are picking Buffalo unless its for twice the salary

Its not like Murray has to stop what he is doing to handle all of this, or PLF was in the process of making deals then quit. TP, Black and the other head guys are the ones that should be handling it.

You would be surprised. i don't think many here would have a harsh opinion of him if he was getting paid much less, most of the issues with him is that he is overpaid for his production. The talk on him before was that he was great in the playoffs, so some contending team could take a chance at a much cheaper cost

I don't think this is a bad thing, you here all the time about guys being there for the morning skate and then getting taken off once a deal is done. I wouldn't look too much into this, if he is going to be moved I would bet its not before the 3pm deadline

i think the deal had more to do with getting rid of someone who was no longer happy with the franchise/GM and getting something in return for him. You lose offensive skill by swapping the 2, but the lightning should be too worried about that getting Stamkos back and also now obtain draft picks and a leader Apparently you just have to ask, one of the guys on WGR this morning said he was going to be in there from like 11 til 1 maybe 2 and it was because he just askedhe said he will also get to tweet some info from there Wonder how many of them are just checking personal emails and playing solitare right now
