I don't think anyone is going to make a serious run or offer to Lehner this offseason, he just hasn't been good enough for the teams in need of a starting goaltender to go after him, there are plenty of others out there that will get attention over him. He could get some interest as a cheap backup option, but I doubt he gets someone making an offer to him as a RFA for that role. (If he was a UFA I'm sure some teams would be making some backup position offers) As for Ullmark, I doubt Vegas is sniffing around Buffalo for a goaltender with the options that will be available to them. They may have a shot at Fleury, Luongo, Mason, Halak, or another veteran with experience who can give them a solid starter to start out with, and there will be other options that they will have for a backup/young development guy instead of Ullmark who hasn't really been attracting much attention around the league. With Vegas being able to pick only one player per team, I would almost guarantee their choice from Buffalo would not be a goaltender, they are going to take a defencemen or Forward (Moulson, Ennis, Bogo, Gorges). A veteran guy who will give them experience and might be able to help out right away

no he doesn't, atleast DB can flash a ring as justification why he was hired and should have time to work this out. I never agreed with the DB hiring, I never thought he was good but atleast he can say he was coach of a cup winning team. Rex has nothing but his moron brother and his dads name and that should have been enough for anyone to justify why not to hire the idiot in the first place Plus I would say DB has caused the Sabres to regress yet which is very hard to do when coming out of the show tank that everyone wanted. Rex took the team backwards for no good reason other then ego and inability to coach anything but his antiquated system.

well he did say "zero ducks given" and everyone went all doe eyes and awestruck at his wonderfulness. Some still find him great for making 1-2 good trades where he came out the winner without overpaying.

You do know that Montreal gave Julien walking papaers first, right after the last time they hired then fired Therrien and before he ended up in Boston..... This already happened in 2003 when then head coach Therrien was fired by the Cnadians and they hired Julien, only to fire him 3 years later, he then went on to coach the Bruins before returning to take over for Therrien (for the second time....)

I don't know, I'm sure he will have offers if he wants to, but iirc, the plan was always this was his last season and he would step down from the Blues with Yeo taking over then. Their play this year just sped that up....
