From whats being reported, it sounds like its possible the Sabres thought they had him but he decided to shop the offer around and Boston agreed to match what Buffalo was offering

I think they are the only one in need of a starter, I'm sure others may be interested in upgrades. Washington could be a team looking for a backup/upgrade (Lost one in the Expansion draft and Anderson retired). Will the Pegulas be willing ot pay the money to bail him out of jail? He could have been signed in Buffalo and also given the starter position
