Hey why don’t we have the salary cap carry over into the playoffs ? It would keep these teams that sit players out till the playoffs honest. I get it that they play for free in the playoffs but somethings got to give. Stone got two big goals tonight.

Perennial contender is a good talking point but nothing is guaranteed and has there ever been one ? At some point in the next couple years it has to be about ‘now’ or he runs the risk of missing players prime years for some future shangra la that may never materialize. And I’m pretty sure no team has ever won the cup exclusively with homegrown talent. That sounds a little pie in the sky. Guys are always brought in at some point to get over the top.

I hate the shootout but if I can say one thing about the Sabres this season they’ve kept me on the edge of my seat. Good not great game but we got the points. Can’t complain about that.

4 goals on 8 shots again ? It was bad enough in the Bruins fiasco. Damn ! Glad I stayed away from the t.v. For this one. Throw in the towel. If this is what they consider development I’d hate to see the alternative.

Develop defensively. As we’ve seen if you can’t defend all that fancy offence means squat. The good teams have the foundation of good defensive play in place and feast on teams like ours offensively because of it. Sure we can get away with run and gun with weak teams but games against good opponents we are down right unwatchable.

I guess my sarcasm meter is faulty. 🤷🏻‍♂️
