Thats a good point. Never thought of it that way but I think even if you are bounced in the first round its benefit to the young guys that have never tasted it is huge. Possibly make them hungrier moving forward ?

I was 100 % for the teardown. It is a realistic goal now that we are into the build part of the tank. 100 % try to make the playoffs. I'm not saying GMTM should forget the longview and sell assets to get Rick Nash at the deadline thinking he'll get us in. I'm saying the team as its constituted should have the message from management that we are trying to make the playoffs as our goal.

Just my 2 cents but the goal should always be to make the playoffs. Without fail. The idea of a culture shift is to instil a winning culture whereby the players know from the outset that that is the goal of the season. Make the playoffs then make some noise. Anything less is failure.

I don't get it. Why allow another team to set the terms ? If he gets a HUGE offer that you've told everyone you intend to match you're allowing another team to dictate terms which should be arrived at inhouse and possibly lower.

Bob I watched the doc. Hot Girls Wanted a couple weeks ago. Interesting but damn I would die if one of those girls was my daughter leaving home to find excitement and getting mixed up with these guys. Sobering that most of the girls only last a few months and are pushed aside by the hot ' new ' girls that are continually entering the industry. Sad really.

Ray Ferraro was on 1040 out of Vancouver a little over an hour ago and he said from what he had been hearing over the last 4 or 5 hours it wasn't anything anyone would think of but he didn't want to say exactly what it was basically so as not to set himself up to be sued . Could be he isn't sure whatever it is is true or he just doesn't believe it and doesn't want to open himself up to a slander suit ? The way he told it it sounding shocking. ?? Non hockey related ? I listened to the man and I am absolutely clueless. Maybe I heard him wrong ? Anyways. If anyone wants to do a little digging.
