The league has welcomed him back with open arms. The Blackhawks org. has publicly endorsed him by inviting him to camp. The fans have treated him like a returning hero with their roar of approval at camp. Kane himself has declared he's done nothing wrong. The D.A. has yet to charge him. Word has apparently leaked out that there was a lack of Kanes dna on parts of the alleged victims body but dna elsewhere. They have said that this fact could exonerate him of the more serious charge. If this doesn't proceed to court chances are life will go on much like it did before all this nastiness interrupted the Kaners Stanley cup revelry. Despite all the hero worship from fans, team and league alike I get dressed down for a joke that I somewhat self admitted was maybe a bit too soon. And where is the alleged victim in all of this ? The hawks have said this has been hard on everyone. And what of her ? In my opinion the events of the past couple of days have been a complete joke and completely mishandled by just about everyone. So Hoss although this subject isn't a comedic setting lately unfortunately it has been a comedy of errors. Camp should have gone on without him. Imho .

Same same. The Sedins donated a huge wad of cash to Vancouvers childrens hospital ( If I remember correctly it was in the 10 million ballpark ) where my son was treated for about 5 years so I am grateful to athletes that give back to their communities. :thumbsup:

Anyone watching Narcos on netflix ? Watched the first episode and it was good. 2nd tonight and we'll see if its worth continuing. The story of Pablo Escobar and the Columbian cartels rise from smugglers of anything contraband to the #1 producer and distributer of cocaine in the world. Also can't wait to see Black Mass with Johnny Depp. Looks fantastic.

That there is what you call team building. Tim Murray is the anti-Regier. Such a breath of fresh air. Its hard not to believe that this guy is capable of bringing us to the promised land.

Us yokels up here in Canada celebrate labour day too. Got my feet up right now being paid to relax at home and contemplate all the sacrifices of workers that fought the good fight in days of old. Many a life was lost fighting so that we could enjoy weekends off. So we didn't have to work 16 hour days. So the unskilled worker was ensured a minimum wage rather than slave labour. So safety standards ensured we could go home to our wives and kids at the end of the day. Although I work in a non union shop all the benefits I do enjoy were made on the backs of workers who had the courage to organize in the face of a brutal backlash from their employers thugs and the police. Many a head was busted to bring fellows like me the comforts I enjoy daily when I go in to work. And for that I am grateful.

In the world juniors Domi got most of the accolades but Samson drove that bus. He was a surgeon out there against his peers who happened to be the best in the world in their age group. Given some time he'll do the same against the big boys.

Great hockey player. Apparently he needs work on the rest. Not so great person ? We all have faults but come on. This guys a train wreck. NO thanks. I'm jacked about what Samson will do for this team in 2 years when we are contending.

Not to mention going in to play the Hurricanes. All that talk of raping and pillaging and eating babies would finally have to stop. Never did get those references for a sporting event. I get the hate, I just never felt it was really necessary. Kane has too much negative off ice baggage that he's lugging around. It seems like this shite will follow him his whole career. Innocent or not he'll find more trouble ahead. Not sure I'd want him on this team.

I wasn't pointing the finger at any one person for their opinion. Certainly not you. We're up to 42 pages. Read them all but some posts sounded like men just can't help themselves or the urge to rape is always just below the surface. In my experience this couldn't be further from the truth. Sure if you're a rapist that would apply just as if you were a pedophile that urge may be just below the surface but if you are an average red blooded male the need to terrorize and dominate females isn't latently waiting to boil over. I don't believe that for a minute. So I agree with P.A. but I'll add not only do most men not rape but most men don't feel the need to rape.

Yeah. I've never had the desire to force myself on anyone. Never had the fantasy of rape. If a female isn't interested in me that way I can't think of a bigger turn off. Why force things. Never had the desire to control someone or assert my dominance in any way over them. I have briefly dated women with rape fantasies. Imagine that ? Never took part in that. I'm not sure. Does this make me unmanly ? I believe more men think the way I do than some here would have others believe. I agree pretty much with your take on the premier Hoss. Its different than the walking dead but thats a good thing. I'm hoping they'll have the odd cameo of famous hollywood celebs as zombies. Picture Steven Tyler as a zombie with walk this way in the background. Could be fun but I doubt they'll debase their franchise by going that route. Started out real slow for me but hopefully it builds . We'll know by episode 2 whether its worth following or not. I'll prolly stick it out unless it gets real bad.
