  1. We hate this team and every player. I can't believe we're trading another player we love.
  2. With all due respect, especially because you're one of my favorite posters, I think this is likely a stretch. Obviously you could be right, I certainly don't have the facts. I doubt he needs what little, relatively, it costs to spend on the Sabres to pour everything possible into the Bills. The Bills are just too lucrative and the Sabres are profitable. I want to believe it's something more than not caring or greed. He just doesn't seem like that kind of dude but who knows. He spent before. Like many things Sabres, little makes sense to me.
  3. Thank you Sir. I couldn't find any contract details, so wasn't sure if he was extended for one more year to stay this off season. So with that, it's at least a plausible reason to not fire him. I don't love it or agree. I wish he was let go. I think it's obvious TP is still in save money mode after committing a good bit into the program.
  4. I actually don't understand what we're not agreeing on, other than you just view me as someone to auto reject. I don't want to be disrespectful. You wish TP would change his approach. Do you think he's repeating mistakes? I feel like he's deployed multiple approaches. Of which non have fixed anything. KA is the only thing he hasn't changed in 14 years for this long of a period. He's the only employee he has stuck with this long, IIRC. It seems stupid to me because I want him gone. Lysowski saying, well the Sabres are sitting here not making a single coaching change after 14 years of making the playoffs. We literally changed HC's last off season. I mean what are people talking about? We suck and I don't think anyone knows why, is all I'm saying. I can't understand it, but it's definitely not because we're repeating ourselves or not doing anything.
  5. Now you changed the argument to he should be fired. You said there's no plausible reason KA wasn't fired. You don't like it and neither do I. But if he's under contract, it's reasonable to not want to pay someone not to work for you. I never once said that's not routinely done. TP did that multiple times.
  6. You're narrative is do something. They have, a lot. You can't comprehend the difference between doing something and having something work. I want him gone. I want him to do very little of consequence until he's out or gets oversight.
  7. There is one reason. If he is under contract. That's not being questioned because it's boring.
  8. Who are you putting in quotations? I didn't say any of that. My apologies if I assumed you're saying I'm saying that. I do think it was important to him to please fans, as it should. I just think he thought the next approach should be patience and even though the fans won't want to hear that, we'll make it worth it. It didn't work. Just as constantly changing didn't, or spending, or drafting a star. I just don't believe it's truth, that he doesn't care or he's in coast mode, etc. IMO, it's actually quite ridiculous to believe that as a fact.
  9. I disagree with him being stubborn or at minimum that is known. He fired GM's and coaches consistently at the behest of fan pressure and a desire to show action meant caring. It didn't work. IMO, we're in the recovery phase of that debacle at the same time seeing if the opposite of knee jerk works. I think we're at the extreme end of that and it's got fans frustrated. But the narrative, "do something" is hardly factual. The only thing we haven't done is fire KA and spend.
  10. I just don't believe, nor think it's factual that the majority of TP's ownership, there has not been a commitment to win. I actually think he over committed at times and that didn't work. The last few years, IMO, have been a reset (lack of a better term) because of the financial over commitment.
  11. It's a proven reality. Remember when a lot of us thought players would want to play with McDavid or Eichel - and we needed a star? TP put money into the organization and we started hosting the combined etc. It didn't work to get players. TP has tried plenty conceivable things to create a spark. It hasn't worked. Buffalo is a place that critically relies on drafting talent and trading. Then hoping the draft picks develop and some of them and any traded players grow to like the City. That also hasn't worked.
  12. Players have largely never wanted to come. He tried, it didn't work. Hint, it wasn't the losing.
  13. Why would Pegula need to give them the country club, when we were already a place players wanted to come?
  14. Which I believe, learning from the Reinhart trade, perfectly legal. Right?
  15. He interviewed other GM's and Coaches on previous hires before KA and Lindy. So again, not something he hasn't done. It's not worked.
  16. I don't understand most of this argument and it comes up regularly. That's not a dig, BTW. I would dispute some of the points you've made, but at the same time, I fundamentally agree that KA has failed. I think we have made some B to C type of trades. I also think we've had two blockbuster trades, so I don't think it's true that we can't. IMO, we could find a trade partner for Tage and Dahlin. There aren't many players I want to trade. Most that I would trade, I don't think have much value. Then some of our young talent hasn't been realized to a point we'd get a developed player back that I'd want enough to give up on potential. In summary, I don't share the belief that I have wanted KA to do more. He's done a lot. It just hasn't worked.
  17. I understand and respect that. I think we understand each other - even though we disagree. With no data to support this, I think it's possible out of town fans may feel less sting. Maybe because we can't participate financially by going to games? For example, I would get season tickets the first day I could if I moved back. Maybe your response would be; then you'd be more pissed. So some of it could be things like that. Not that I'm ignorant to the fact there's many posters outside the Buffalo market just as upset as ones in it.
  18. Well I'm not particularly happy that you think I'm the only annoying person here. That's not the goal. I'm not discussing different opinions in general terms. For example poster A wants to trade Byram, while poster B would like to sign him to an extension. I'm saying that hypothetical discussion will move away from that debate and get hijacked into vitriol for KA, TP and all manner of tangents that make some posters not want to come here. It's a problem and I'm not preaching. I'm just offering another perspective. Indulge me for a moment. I moved to Charlotte NC 29 years ago at 21. There's a massive amount of Bills and Sabres fans here. Maybe this will resonate with some of you. When I arrived in Charlotte there were two places that got the Bills games and often the Sabres too. This is before it became common to have your own dish. For those that got together during those years TBD and subsequently SS became a connection to home. We would regularly tell a person that didn't know, man you can go to SS and every article mentioning the Sabres populates. It overjoyed people that I know. The discussion today about SS is they don't come here anymore. "It's too negative". "Go to this guy on YouTube or this guy on X if you want Sabres discussion without the I don't even care if Buffalo loses the team". I mean you can blame it on Terry for forcing it but if it matters to anyone of you major posters (couldn't find a better term) - it's become a place primarily for venting and so much less content. I suppose if that's what you want it to be, carry on. I miss the place that is still a daily click for me, but I exit threads and leave so often because it's exhausting where they go.
  19. Can't we get past this undertow? I don't understand what you mean by "vehemently disagreeing", honestly. What am I disagreeing with? A lot of you responding to me keep saying something similar. I don't think TP and/or KA, just for example, have done a good job. It hasn't worked. Isn't there anything else to discuss? Can't you try to say something different? Can't I fully comprehend the failure while also not wanting every thread to end up in the same spot?
  20. I get it. I appreciate the discussion and you at least hearing me out. I know I'm not well liked by quite a few and not trying to sound like a martyr but feel obligated to say something every once in a while. Not to beat a horse but I came here mostly as a reader. I rarely posted. I always liked the Sabres and pretended I was Andrychuk in the driveway shooting tennis balls against my parents garage door. We couldn't afford for me to play hockey, so I was predominantly a baseball player and some football. Later in life I loved hockey more than I ever had but I didn't understand it like baseball and football. I was fascinated with the knowledge here and listened long enough to learn to have my own opinions. I was learning hockey from SS posters. Now it sucks. Most of the posters that became my always read, turned so negative there's little enjoyable. I miss you guys and gals. I wish you'd reconsider where you've taken the place.
  21. I absolutely understand that I'm annoying. In the same way it's annoying to hear the same exact negative things being repeated. I disagree that it's "every" thread that I challenge the negative posters. You don't think the black hole most threads dive into are outnumbering? It's not about me either, it's about posters that feel the same as I do. Won't you agree, at least, that it's fair that we annoy each other and not just one group gets to annoy the other?
  22. I'm not a TP or KA apologist. That's not what I'm communicating. It's what gets thrown back every time when I, every once in a while, object to the incessant negativity. Why too bad? What you're essentially saying is, then don't come here if you don't like the vibe. I didn't tell you to leave or stop posting. Why isn't everyone allowed to express their thoughts? I posted as someone that wishes we could return to what this community was. We don't need TP or KA, etc to turn it around. I know as an emperical fact, I'm not alone. Every time Taro posts about rules it's enlightening. Every time LGR posts about prospects and draft picks it's a must read. Anytime Tom Webster posts, you should read it.
  23. Something something something, TP and KA are dumb. See you guys tomorrow.
  24. Any chance you could tell us how many years it's been since we've been to the playoffs? It would be amazing. Say it like no one knows. It'll add that special personalized flare.
