They're optimistic about where we're at even though the terrible games this year, are a special kind of terrible. They update me on where we are in the standings throughout the week. I think there's a difference between won't and can't. Can't meaning, I don't think there's worthwhile moves for the cost. I agree, more could have been done to address goaltending. That's a risk reward thing too, so....

Yeah no doubt and let's not forget we all just want our team to win. When we've been bad this year, it's been unwatchable. Yet we're in the thick of it and not at the bottom. I'm hopeful that when healthier and Quinn back, good things can still happen.

It's got to be more than that. I suppose it's possible but I think there's other challenges and they've not always been the same. Given that, I think this is the way. Keep developing and drafting and wade through some of the bad hockey especially when injuries are rampant.

Exactly. We're kind of stuck. A non healthy roster most of the season has been difficult to overcome. Yet they're 9-10-2 with all that's happened and playing really bad when it's been bad.

This game is an outlier. So you have been meaning KA watching this type of game and doing nothing.

We've tried that with more players than either one of us care to remember. It didn't work. Over the last 3 seasons? No, unless we'd like to count Clifton and Johnson. Mmm, not good. To get players better than them, we have to massively over pay and KA isn't doing it. I agree with him.

I mean I feel the same towards you. 4 players and a true #1 goalie actually makes me laugh out loud. You can think it's KA not wanting that all you'd like. We don't need top end talent necessarily, we need those guys that are good and fill your roster out. Those free agents aren't coming here unless you give them years and millions more. You aren't trading our prospects until they prove worth. That means they have to develop in Roc, etc. That time isn't now to maximize their trade potential.

I know right and he should have been bringing in free agents at reasonable prices because they just want to play here. He also should have traded all our prospects for those solid excellent players with term, that every team wanted to trade.

Totally agree. This isn't the Sabres "roster". It's what we had to roll out and as you said, Ruff easily prepared.
