  1. I agree that a net minder should be priority 1. I gotcha, so it's more specifically Quinn and a couple others. We've agreed before that the blockbuster is not something I'd entertain either.
  2. I'm not sure if you specifically don't want Marchment but I think you made it pretty clear above, you don't have a proclivity for trading young talent. This is where I get in a real quandary. I don't like giving up or giving up on our young players, but at the same time I realize to get better or better "fits", we likely need to use these young players to acquire them. I honestly don't know where I lean on this, especially since we've lived through the pain of the build from within philosophy.
  3. Impressive how all the diehard fans are suppressing their zeal.
  4. Yet that comment got a like. I appreciate the fairness of your posts and that you don't have an irrational zeal to be angry at everything the franchise does.
  5. How is Nolan nostalgic for Pegula?
  6. He's hired one person that could even be considered for nostalgic reasons. Talk about obtuse ....
  7. I don't know bro, there's a lot of speculation in there. I heard this crazy stat, I think from an Andrew Santino reel. A million seconds is 11 days, a billion seconds is 31 years. I promise you 10 mil to TP is absolutely nothing. We can't comprehend Billionaire.
  8. I agree except I don't know that it has to come entirely from different players. We often find out players have it, it just needed to be brought out of them. I think it may be the singular most disappointing thing this year, for me, that Ruff didn't change this. I thought he could/would.
  9. Florida is the standard from POHO/GM, Coaching and players. Just love everything they do.
  10. I'm in agreement. I'm not saying he has no value, but I don't think he can be traded. We'd have to give up picks and or prospects to get someone to take on his contract, IMO
  11. It's definitely head scratching what's going on. KA if anything, is too nice and accommodating. I doubt JJ not wanting to be here (if true) has little to do with KA personally. Maybe the losing, which is of course tied to KA but if this young man is pouting because of that, then get. Who does he think he is? I'm tired of these young whiners wanting veteran treatment.
  12. We hate this team and every player. I can't believe we're trading another player we love.
  13. With all due respect, especially because you're one of my favorite posters, I think this is likely a stretch. Obviously you could be right, I certainly don't have the facts. I doubt he needs what little, relatively, it costs to spend on the Sabres to pour everything possible into the Bills. The Bills are just too lucrative and the Sabres are profitable. I want to believe it's something more than not caring or greed. He just doesn't seem like that kind of dude but who knows. He spent before. Like many things Sabres, little makes sense to me.
  14. Thank you Sir. I couldn't find any contract details, so wasn't sure if he was extended for one more year to stay this off season. So with that, it's at least a plausible reason to not fire him. I don't love it or agree. I wish he was let go. I think it's obvious TP is still in save money mode after committing a good bit into the program.
  15. I actually don't understand what we're not agreeing on, other than you just view me as someone to auto reject. I don't want to be disrespectful. You wish TP would change his approach. Do you think he's repeating mistakes? I feel like he's deployed multiple approaches. Of which non have fixed anything. KA is the only thing he hasn't changed in 14 years for this long of a period. He's the only employee he has stuck with this long, IIRC. It seems stupid to me because I want him gone. Lysowski saying, well the Sabres are sitting here not making a single coaching change after 14 years of making the playoffs. We literally changed HC's last off season. I mean what are people talking about? We suck and I don't think anyone knows why, is all I'm saying. I can't understand it, but it's definitely not because we're repeating ourselves or not doing anything.
  16. Now you changed the argument to he should be fired. You said there's no plausible reason KA wasn't fired. You don't like it and neither do I. But if he's under contract, it's reasonable to not want to pay someone not to work for you. I never once said that's not routinely done. TP did that multiple times.
  17. You're narrative is do something. They have, a lot. You can't comprehend the difference between doing something and having something work. I want him gone. I want him to do very little of consequence until he's out or gets oversight.
  18. There is one reason. If he is under contract. That's not being questioned because it's boring.
  19. Who are you putting in quotations? I didn't say any of that. My apologies if I assumed you're saying I'm saying that. I do think it was important to him to please fans, as it should. I just think he thought the next approach should be patience and even though the fans won't want to hear that, we'll make it worth it. It didn't work. Just as constantly changing didn't, or spending, or drafting a star. I just don't believe it's truth, that he doesn't care or he's in coast mode, etc. IMO, it's actually quite ridiculous to believe that as a fact.
  20. I disagree with him being stubborn or at minimum that is known. He fired GM's and coaches consistently at the behest of fan pressure and a desire to show action meant caring. It didn't work. IMO, we're in the recovery phase of that debacle at the same time seeing if the opposite of knee jerk works. I think we're at the extreme end of that and it's got fans frustrated. But the narrative, "do something" is hardly factual. The only thing we haven't done is fire KA and spend.
  21. I just don't believe, nor think it's factual that the majority of TP's ownership, there has not been a commitment to win. I actually think he over committed at times and that didn't work. The last few years, IMO, have been a reset (lack of a better term) because of the financial over commitment.
  22. It's a proven reality. Remember when a lot of us thought players would want to play with McDavid or Eichel - and we needed a star? TP put money into the organization and we started hosting the combined etc. It didn't work to get players. TP has tried plenty conceivable things to create a spark. It hasn't worked. Buffalo is a place that critically relies on drafting talent and trading. Then hoping the draft picks develop and some of them and any traded players grow to like the City. That also hasn't worked.
