I think the story here is mixed up. They've ALWAYS had problems. 1. Last year they had 8,000 season ticket holders, compared to 7,000 this year. 2. It's a shortened season. 3. They lost their best/face of franchise in Rick Nash. Judging by these, i think their ticket staff deserves credit for only losing a thousand season tickets.

Highly doubtful. From what i've read about Pardy, he's somewhat of a Jay McKee. Blocks shots and can muscle guys from the crease. Pretty sure he will be in Rochester as soon as camp ends, but if it comes down to either playing Pardy or dressing Brennan long term, i think they'll call up Pardy. I also am probably in the minority, but i don't think TJ gets claimed if send down back to Rochester. Regier/Ruff took a risk once sending Pominville down, i really don't think they'll chicken it now either.

Wonder if schedule will still be released tonight? Two hours after MOU is signed, Hecht will officially be a Sabre again. MOU signed. Schedule release is IMMINENT.

They do, but not necessarily for us. Several teams are deep on defense and could use a forward. Supposedly, Carolina is ready to offload a defensman, maybe even prior to training camp opening up, according to local media down there.

Another team will give him a chance no doubt. If for any reason, it's because he's proven he can score at the NHL level, and has size. He may be out of favor with the Sabres organization for whatever reason. He just doesn't seem happy here and slows little emotion. In a decent sized deal, he could be the extra throw in that seals the deal for a trade. A risk with high reward for some team. The one player many always compare him to is Ryane Clowe. His stats are not that far off. Also, should be noted: Despite Adam struggling on the overall stats in Rochester, he has been playing much better as of late. In his last 16 games, he has 12 points, which includes 6 goals. In his previous 16 games? 2 goals, 3 assists for 5 points.

I agree with Inkman here. It's not being negative to think that Foligno, Stafford and Ennis won't continue on point/game rates. Ennis is clearly the best player of them all. He has a long ways to go to hit his peak. I once heard on CBC Hockey Night in Canada the intermission crew quote a league GM who compared Ennis to Pawel Datysuk offensively. Stafford is a streaky player. When he gets hot, he is a very good player, but when he's on his off nights, which last for quite awhile, he's not better then Erik Rasmussen. Foligno is what he is. A big dude, with some skill, huge heart and a drive to do whatever it takes to help the team. Confidence was as it is in all sports, was huge for him as he had a instant impact with the team. He's never dominated at any level offensively before. If it's OHL, World jrs, or AHL. It makes it hard to believe that he is a elite grinder at every level but in the NHL, highest level of all, he becomes a point/game guy, while throwing his body around. I don't see it. Ennis and Foligno are two of my favorite players on the team. I'm not dishing them because i don't like them. I just think that line will regress. Kind of like in our conference finals season where we lost to Carolina, our "best" line on paper was the third line, of Vanek/Roy/Afinogenov. People quickly forget Max lead that team in scoring. Top line was Hecht/Briere and second had Drury/Kotalik to take pressure off the 3rd line. Now, with tape on the Foligno/Ennis/Stafford line, and teams putting more of a point to contain them, they wont have the space as they did last season. I don't think Inkman has the "Buffalo feeling of always gloom and doom" but he's being realistic. I don't think he's mocking any of the players, atleast not from what i saw. He just isn't ready to be sold that these guys are as good as face of the franchise type. The type of run they were on last year was Malkin/Crosby like. While these guys are good players, and should help us win, they are worlds apart from that class. Thats not completely true. Ennis started season pointless in first 8 games. Then had 6pt in next 14 games. 6pt after 22 games played.

How does one go from talking about Stafford into talking about getting rid of Ellis? Stafford is a player that needs to lead the team, that is counted for scoring goals and creating plays. Ellis is a expendable player, who is a nice bottom of the barrel role player. If he's "moved" its to Rochester. Of course it's easy to move Ellis. Ellis will get "moved" when Gerbe returns to the lineup im sure.
