  1. According to reports in Finland, he will be named GM in the morning.
  2. One plus for LaFlamme is, he doesn't have to worry about anybody punching him when he steps on the carpet logo...
  3. Bills have released Nick Barnett and George Wilson.
  4. You don't really believe that, do you? No, i don't think he has much, if any, say into free agents/trades, but i'd imagine he has a whole lot of say about rather they had kept, and will keep Darcy, and signing him to an extension. What, you think Darcy gave himself the extension?
  5.
  6. How is he qualified? In the hockey business? He's a marketing and TV guy....
  7. Tough to score from the bench.
  8. What the hell is a RuPaul drag race?
  9. Nope. Now only if we can get Leopold out of this lineup...
  10. Interesting. So, you can make an argument and be upset that in your opinion the writer isn't qualified to be writing/discussing hockey, YET, you are OK and don't question that Pegula brings in Ken Sawyer (non hockey guy), Cliff Benson (non hockey guy) and Ted Black (non hockey guy) to be his right hand man, then allow them to come to a conclusion on if Darcy Regier is or isn't a good fit for the Buffalo Sabres? How are these guys qualified? I forget which one it was, but either Sawyer or Benson were in the "war room" last year on trade deadline day with Pegula and Black (along with Darcy and Lindy). I highly doubt they were there to hang out or to drink a labatt blue with Black and eat some pizza. They throw ideas around with these guy. None of these guys are qualified to run your local peewee hockey team, let alone a NHL club. And people wonder why we're much worse now then we were prior to Pegula buying the team...
  11. Seems like new lines for tonight- 26-19-29 42-63-82 9-55-21 32-8-36
  12. The league is cluttered with people in high places who spend a long time in Buffalo. It's not that unthinkable that he has sources in high places. But, doing your own, simple research, really makes you think at what kind of joke we are. Third season in a row we start off really slow, zero playoff victories in 6 years... what is so unthinkable about those quotes? What is? They've spend tons of high draft picks and money to improve the defense. You know what our weakness is this season? Defense! How are people not questioning on what they are doing? What am I missing? Please tell me the other side...
  13. Good for Bucky. Id rather read this, a dose of reality, then read articles about how we're hockey heaven, how Ruff is great, how this is Pegulaville and all this BS. The way this team is operated is a JOKE and it's embarrassing. It bothers me that some people on this board, read something like that, and take the time to bash the writer? Who cares who wrote it. Wake up, read the article, and do your own research and make your own assessment on this hockey club. And it's ALL a joke. Myers contract, Leino, Darcy's extension are just starting points.
  14. Huh? Connolly highest goal total in his career was 18 goals, in 2008-09, as a 27 year old. Kessel, has scored 30+ four straight seasons, and is just 25 years old. Kessel is a sniper. He scores goals. He has only appeared in the playoffs 15 times. He has scored 9 goals, and 6 assists, for 15 points. He's a career point/game playoff player. Here's a quote from Vanek (got this link from another poster), but i think it also counts for Kessel too, for those calling him "lazy" and "unmotivated". I feel this may hold some merit, and i think it's not a knock towards him, it's just a human element- http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=415571 Kessel hasn't seen the playoffs since he played for Boston, and this is his fourth season in Toronto. In the previous three seasons with the Leafs, Kessel has scored 99 goals, and hasn't even smelled the playoffs. That's got to be rough for any player i imagine? Maybe he just needs a change of scenery and to regain his love for the sport?
  15. It's pretty funny, that just weeks ago we all were expecting for Darcy to trade a d-men because we had too many of them. As it turns out, despite being full on defense, we will need to re-stock the defense because the blueline is build with lots of flaws. They are very soft and allow too much space to any team we face. Some of that has to go on Lindy Ruff though. Who knew Myers would be so soft? We traded for Regher for exactly that reason, to add muscle to the defense and he's not even been much tougher then Chris Butler was when he was here. I like the intensity Brennen brings but he's very flawed in his own zone. The league has noticed too. This from a recent Pierre LeBrun article- http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/21919/hot-in-buffalo-and-we-aint-talking-wings I wouldn't be too upset if at the very least, they moved a few things around and found Adam Pardy a spot in Buffalo.
  16. Doubtful. He's in their long term plans, as long as Leopold and Brennen are "playing", i don't think we'll ever see Myers sit for an extended period of time. Last season, after Myers started the season slow, and then having a minus-3 rating against Boston (6-2 loss/Miller-Lucic game), Lindy Ruff sat him against Montreal (a 3-2 Buffalo win). But, the next game (vs. NJ) Myers was back in the lineup and scored 2 goals. I think Ruff is gonna hope for similar luck this time around.
  17. That was such a BS red card on Robert Lewandowski today. Dortmund lose 4-1. Announcers on gol tv said this loss all but eliminates them from winning the league, but in all seriousness, they never had a chance. Bayern were way too far ahead.
  18. For me, it was only a problem for the first two msg games. Toronto and Carolina road games. By the time they played Carolina at home they lowered the scoreboard a bit and now the clock and logos above it are perfectly placed and i watch on twc Rochester, ch 1043.
  19. Darren Dreger said the Leafs were listening on Kessel during the 2nd intermission of the Boston/Montreal game this past week during the TSN broadcast.
  20. The Islanders started well, but they by no means are a good team. I'm not extremely high on the Sabres right now either but they are a better team then the Islanders. Isles 1-3-0 at home. Isles have lost 3 in a row. In the 3 loses, Isles have given up 11 goals, scored 3.
  21. I love breasts. But, i never understood when guys say "im a beast guy" or "im an ass man"? I'm not any one particular thing guy, i'm an everything guy. I like it all. Legs? Boobs? Nice eyes? Nice ass? I like it all.
  22. Maybe, But i PAID too. Sorry if the team i care for has me on the edge of my seat. Ive been to countless games, and this was a one-time incident. So, makes me think that this guy was just a hot dog eating, soda pop drinking guy who just wanted to sit back, relax and watch a game. Never before has anyone ever asked me to sit back or tell me how to sit. Bad attitude? I don't care what you're background is, i don't care how much $$ you got, but you ain't gonna tell me how to sit properly. I don't do it on purpose. I was in the 300s, like 8th row up. And while i don't know, i have a real hard time believing that my sitting on the edge really effected the guys view that badly. It just seems to me, the guy wanted to make as little effort as possible from adjusting the way he was sitting to improve his view of the game. Without knowing for certain, i've never crossed that problem, and i've never been asked to "sit back" before. Maybe i've just been lucky? Or maybe this guy is just a lazy ass clown?
  23. Seriously? I don't sit back and watch the games. I don't swear, nor do i stand up randomly (besides breakaways, fights, goals, stuff like that) but i do sit on the edge of my seat. It's just something i do. Does it block or hurt the viewing of the people behind me? Probably. Luckily for me, we're at a hockey game, not in a church. Home opener I was at the game with my gf, and the guy behind me asked me to sit normally so he can see. I just told him not to ever tell me how to sit. The guy was being a tool, so i had to tell him to fvck off later on in the game. If there were kids behind me, i'd sit differently, only out of respect for the kids and not to ruin the game experience for them. But an adult? Essp a guy who pulls the "im a season tix holder" card on me? lol Not a chance.
  24. Former referee Kerry Fraser says the last second goal should not have counted - http://kuklaskorner.com/hockey/comments/lets-review-vaneks-late-game-tying-goal?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
