I like Nolan but don't expect him here for long. In another year or so Murray will bring in his own coach. Girgensons is a really good player on a $hit team. I watched him closely on every shift in Cali and he just does it all. Hits, skates hard, blocks shots, reading the play, he's going to be captain or assistant captain sometime here in the future. The other guy that impressed me a lot is Gorges. Very good pickup.

The kid isn't ready. I agree it's stupid to throw him on the 4th line and give him only 5-7 minutes a game. Just seems like a waste. His positioning is good and he can read the play but he's not strong enough and doesn't assert himself enough. He gets the puck and it's off his stick ASAP which is fine but as a team that drafted u as a top two center for the future u would think he would carry the puck more and explode skating wise instead of playing hot potato. He's not ready and I wouldn't call up Grigs at all. The goal is to tank for the top 2 players no need to change that now. Kaleta and Flynn can be used instead. Give Grigs more time in Rochester being the man and playing with Armia. I don't call him up until injuries start piling up and I call up Larson first. Do u know how many Sabres fans I met in Cali that talked about it's all about McDavid and Eichel.

Not gonna happen. After watching both games in Cali this team will be lucky to score 1 or 2 goals. Yes their that bad.

If we keep all 5 picks I would expect at least 4 offensive players and 1 defenseman being picked. I believe we are set on goalies. But with the uncertainty of the other roster defenseman and Myers trade talk I think u need to draft another defenseman in those first 5 picks. I would love Murray to move both seconds to get another first. But he might not need to by the deadline. Who knows if he moves any of the players with expiring contracts.

It's going to be a race all year with Carolina even though they should have more points when it's all said and done unless they unload some players.

That's actually a pretty damn funny video. Crazy thing I was in this Mexican swap meat today and u will never guess what commercial pop up in spanish. Celino and Barnes injury attorneys. I almost fell over laughing.

It would be nice to see Arizona and Carolina create some separation between us. But Carolina when both Staal's are back will be a much better team. Arizona if they don't play hard as a team every night they don't stand a chance. I would be totally upset if McDavid went to Carolina. It would be a total waste of a great player in a place where they don't know and care a lot about hockey.

What I noticed is disturbing. Yes they have a couple of guys that are playmakers but they and Im talking about most players on this team don't go to the front of the net enough. They should be going hard to the net and screening the goalie which they don't do. You have to go to the dirty areas of the ice if u want to score. Moulson has been shooting more but he really doesn't have much 1 on 1 skill. The player on offense that really stands out to me is Zemgus. He just plays hard, skates really well, good 1 on 1, sound defensively. Just an all around solid player. He has captain or assistant captain written all over him.

After watching these guys live the last two night. Gorges and Girgs stand out to me. Both are just really good players on a really bad team. Stafford and Mitchell(even though he works hard) both useless. Rasmus is gonna be real good. What I noticed a lot also that Buffalo doesn't do that both Anaheim and Los Angeles do is get traffic in front of the net. Mezaros on the power play just kills me. Out of all my years watching Sabres hockey I have never seen a team that can't score like this years squad. My overall take on this years team. They and I'm taking about the Sabres players probably know that they are gonna lose almost every game it's just a matter of by how much. And if I'm the opposing team it's pat your stat night and these guys don't put any fear into playing them. They don't hit much and most ain't gonna fight. Sad very sad

That's it we even win the lottery. It will be a huge help if we get McDavid. I watched Foligno play the last 2 games closely. He is a hard worker and should be on the third line.

I'm at the game and besides Stewart first period chance their hasn't been much to cheer at. Myers laid that guy out and it was funny because after the hit the Kings player said something and u can see Myers motion with his gloves and say let's go. Other than that pretty boring game to watch. The lack of offense on this team is pathetic. Carolina needs to start winning to create separation between us.

Tim Murray is a genius. Give the league false hope by saying we are going to improve by signing free agents and throwing money around. But the true goal is to be the worst team guaranteeing at least Eichel if we can't win the lottery. I thought they were bad last year but this years squad is worse. I know people want Grigs in the lineup when Reinhart gets sent back but I say keep him in Rochester and be the man and Kaleta fills Reinharts spot. Continue the tank please. I would like to know if we lose the lottery that we still can land Eichel. I agree but in all honesty the Ennis line would be better if playing against teams second lines. They are the acting number 1 line. Sad thing is Nolan is known for hard working teams but even this team doesn't do that.

Don't worry it's another loss. The other bottom teams have to start creating separation from the Sabres. We could have the top spot in the basement by December.

I wouldn't be terrified at that thought. No matter what team he gets draft by he probably be looked at as it's savior. I would rather get drafted by a city that knows and loves hockey. Not like Carolina or Arizona. The Sabres have players coming it's just going to take sometime. I like Myers but what he is missing that would put him at a different level is he needs to get nasty. I watched him close in his own end tonight and it's sad to watch because if he would just lay the lumber on opposing players or clear out the crease I think he would be feared. Too me it's like their toying with him because they know he won't do $hit. Sad very sad. He has the tools on offense but in the defensive zone is where he will never be Chara. Probably 3000 Sabres fans at the game in Anaheim. Off to Los Angeles tomorrow night for another loss. Yes this team is worse than lasts year squad. They can't score and don't shoot enough.

Just came back from the Ducks game. My takes on the game Hodgson works hard but doesn't have good players to play with. Myers needs to get a mean streak is actually really sad to watch because opposing players know he ain't gonna do ######. Stewart- doesn't do much for me and I can see why he was moved twice. Gionta- like someone else said the game has passed him by. Now I see why Montreal let him go. Gorges and Girgs- best two players on the ice I thought. Both block shots and they looked good. Risto- I like where is game is developing into. I really think they need to give Zadorov a game or two. I watched Reinhart every shift and he played okay. He just needs to get stronger. One to two seasons and he's going to be a really good player. I really think Girgs is really good. He works hard, knows where to be, blocks shots. He is captain material no doubt about it.

No thanks please. Schenn has never lived up to his expectations. We don't need another player like that in Buffalo. I'm not trading Myers unless some team grossly overpays.

Problem was Buffalo wanted to keep Drury and he didn't want to stay unless Briere stayed whom they didn't want or should I say didn't want to pay him what he wanted. Then throw in a handful of finishing in the teens to acquire centers or should I say Darcy didn't acquire any centers to fill the void left by them both leaving. We are back almost like an expansion team and it's going to take sometime. These scouts and Murray should be scouting in their sleep with this upcoming draft. To me this years draft is crucial. I agree with the injuries. I thought Connelly was playing out of his mind when he was blasted and that was pretty much it for his career. Let's face it that core couldn't get it done. Should he dismantle the entire core. Probably not but it's too late for that.

All in all we as fans know this sucks going thru and I have to admit if we don't land McDavid or Eichel in this draft their will be a lot of disappointed fans not happy about going thru this. Right now if the roster stays the same until the trade deadline their is absolutely no way they don't finish last. Yes Reinhart will be sent back but Kaleta should be back soon to fill his spot. Yeah I know u don't want to hear that. But give the kids time to develop in Rochester and theirs no need to recall any of them until the injuries start mounting. Let's finish what Darcy started complete the tank. This organization is too far into this to change course now. Plus I think Murray who was a scout and the rest of the scouting staff can't wait for this draft. This draft is one of the most crucial in order to turn this team around. What sucks for us fans is that these players are still gonna need time to develop. I still think this team will be bad in 2015-16 season as well because no matter who we pick unless we get McDavid will still need more time developing.

If that's the case we are in big big trouble but I don't think so. You see as part of the blue and gold series it seems like players/picks are talked about collectively at their meeting with his scouts and hockey department.

Colorado is in trouble but their be fine. As bad as Edmonton is I expect Nail to be traded soon for some defensive help. We are by far worse than last year. I know it's still early in the season but if Buffalo keeps their current roster all year their is no way they don't finish last. Enroth hasn't been bad, some of the defense has and let's face it right now the forwards aren't scoring much because they ain't taking many shots. Hard to win games when your getting outshot by 2-1 margains most nights.
