I can see why people like Chapman because he plays hard like Kaleta but lets get one thing straight. Kaleta can play at the NHL level and Chapman will be lucky if he see's the ice full time at the AHL Level. If you watch Chapman close in that game against the Devils. He rushes his passes, had a ton of giveaways. The only thing I can say good about the guy is he really plays defense hard and will take the body every chance he gets. Problem is the new NHL defenseman have to get up in the play, get back quick enough and make accurate passes out of the zone in which I didn't see any of that. Guele to me looks like a future nhl defenseman. Very smooth skater, can jump into the play.

I'm a big Reinhart fan as he was the guy I wanted last year. But I do have concerns moving forward with these scouts. Hurley and some of the other second rounders don't look so hot. This team has/had nothing but time on their hands the last two years and can't afford to miss on picks moving forward. I know Murray moved a lot of young prospects but to me it's sort of a concern. I know all players picked aren't gonna make it but that's why you have such a big scouting and video department to find these players.

That's people that don't know the game. His hit was a penalty that should have been called. He won't be getting signed by us. The Sabres need to focus on picking up some defenseman in next years draft. I'm kinda wondering if they are looking at trades to acquire a defenseman what young prospect is Murray gonna move.

So was Dan Byslma right that Jack needs work away from the puck? Not bashing him as I'm a big fan just want to know if it's true.

Sam is more Toews player than people saying Eichel is. Reinhart is a solid two way player who can be put in all situations just like he was used for team Canada. It's a meaningless scrimmage game where most players won't make it to the next level. From what little I seen I like Baileys size as well as that whole Reinhart line.

So who else look good? Gold looked overmatched in this game from what little I seen.

Yeah tell me about it. I don't want to hear about Gretzky, Potvin or anyone not in the league anymore.

The craziest thing about people talking about how much Buffalo should be improved all forget to mention Sam Reinhart.

To me Hodgson has some offensive skill but its becoming more of a speed game and let's face it Cody skating is mediocre and his defensive mind is non-existent. He might fit in Nashville because they have solid defense.

I don't think Zadorov is going to be that dominant defenseman.

Murray knows he needs a defenseman or two but I'm guessing he looking at 1-2 guys that are younger so they can grow with the team. My opinion is he is gonna move a player, prospect or pick for what he wants. I'm not to crazy about moving anymore of our prospects like Bailey, Bapiste or Fasching.

I wouldn't put Girgensons in any deal for Shattenkirk. Larsson, Foligno and future picks could be used for another D-man. It doesn't have to be Shattenkirk.

I like Fasching he was the key piece to the LA Deal why would they move him. Larsson and a 2nd. No but a Big No for Bapiste, Bailey or Fasching getting moved.

Is David Poille ever gonna figure it out. All his teams have had plenty of great defense but hardly any offense. Until he moves one of those defenseman for a proven offensive player they will continue to be knocked out of the playoffs without ever getting to the cup.

I'm not worried about Murray not signing any of these free agents. Most of these free agents are grossly overpaid and aren't worth it long term. I just don't want Murray trading any more of our key assests for a defenseman. Bailey, Bapiste, Fasching are key components going forward.

I like Larsson. He's always moving and he's hard to play against. He's a very good bottom 6 guy. I don't think he should be moved yet.

Patience my friends Murray knows he needs help on the backend and besides Oduya who is up their in age. I would much rather him trade for a younger defenseman.

Who Cares if Hodgson signs with the leafs. Murray is building a team that's going to be tough to play against. O'Reilly and Zemgus are hard players to play against. Now you throw in some skill guys like Kane, Eichel and Reinhart and Wow what a difference a year makes. We know he's gonna make a move for a defenseman but patience is needed. He can wait until teams that are cash strapped like the Islanders did last year.

I think Murray makes a trade for a defenseman if he can't get any of his free agent targets for a decent amount of money. I don't see much Murray could want with what's left with the defenseman out on the free agent market. He's building a tough team to play against and most free agents left don't fit that bill.

He should stay with the Ducks. Not interested him at all.

Sunder was Darcy's pick. Samuels-Thomas was a reach and Dalpe just a fill in for the tank.

It should be interesting to see who Murray targets in free agency. Just the thought of O'Reilly and Grigs two way game should be exciting to see. Want to see Ennis with guys that can create room by themselves now which I believe makes Ennis more dangerous. Already planning my trip to Arizona, Anaheim and Los Angeles as this team should be pretty solid.

I don't get why some teams wouldn't trade for Hodgson. Yes we know his defensive shortcoming and his big contract. The guy is still young and working on his skating. Guy has some talent as we all seen it. I'm willing to let him play it out and if he fails then move him. It's a totally different team right now. If they do move him I'm sure he's got some trade value. Let's face it we got a lot better this offseason but our depth on wing and defense needs to be addressed at some point.

I wouldn't mind Murray using the last of his seconds and both of next years to possibly move up.
