  1. His agent will think so. I'm not gonna say byram is not worth 7m on the open market...but he's not worth 7m on this team based on what we already have wrapped up financially on D.
  2. Ok, I wasn't expecting a big move today. But I also wasn't expecting this. Whoomp whoomp is not what you want to see from a team w cap room and playoffless for 14 years
  3. Too critical? They suck. That said, I always felt the coverage was one big giant bj for the team. How *****
  4. I could live w this.....if it's under 5m.
  5. I'm good with lyon signing. There wasn't anything out there to splash on - and the guy can give you 30 games. But not at 4-6m..... All that said, goaltending will be an issue again. Levi needs a year or two still...but ka would be wise to jump all over a veteran starting caliber goalie the next time a GM is looking to dump and rebuild.
  6. I refuse to believe it's true. I know it probably is....but I have sanity to maintain
  7. Yup ..a good, not great player just became the bell of the ball
  8. Winners go home a f*@$ the prom queen
  9. While I think he ultimately goes...keeping makes the team better overall. The fa market can address the forward need. I still believe GMS are trying to call kas bluff...I would
  10. Lol....you don't have apologize to lgr...his first sentence would have sufficed. He's a fine poster...but he can be a blowhard sometimes
  11. That would be a nice thought if ka actually wanted to give him that contract. He wants a forward....and it's obvious
  12. My gut tells me the sabres feel like they have too much money locked up in D right now. Suspecting that is why the byram return rumors are light...GMS know ka is stuck
  13. He seems like the perfect middle six forward...odd if Columbus moves him with the contract control they have
  14. Makes sense. They are not keeping him based on the moves they made.
  15. As of today; NO That said, they are moving in a direction I agree with, in terms of restructuring the roster build out with diverse skill sets. BUT - goalie is an issue still. Plus our top 6 needs another playmaker. Not ready to give Benson top 6 minutes....he's still developing. If they don't solve the two issues above...this is still a low 80s point team at best. Also....reshape the f'ing coaching staff. What are we doing here???
  16. That was funny. My response should not take away from that! For me, 44 years of seeing the first name bryan probably...idk. lol If promise not to do it again...but that would be disingenuous
  17. The ole 'Hope' strategy. Always pans out!
  18. I'm not so sure. I don't believe they had any intention to trade bryam for picks - this simply solidifies for other GMS to stop wasting time offering them...and offer up a, at minimum, top 9 forward that can slide up and down. I believe he gets traded before FA starts
  19. Bolded- I'm actually good with that too. There are a lot of veteran NHL dmen that get multi year 4-5m contracts for being just that
  20. I think we can all agree the roster construction was poor. These moves help them move in the right direction to alleviate that. All of that said....they NEED a top 6 f or c before mid July....and a decent goalie add. I'm just going to enjoy seeing how this plays out over the next week. This is a fun time of year.
  21. My biggest gripe with this is the average salary should have been 3.365. we always over pay our home grown talent. Smh
  22. Candidly, I've never seen him play outside of the highlights after we drafted him. From what I'm reading regarding his scouting reports - we should all be excited to watch him develop over the next 4 years. A large RHD with two way game? Sign me up.
  23. Velcrotonchestervilleson?
