Right. High end backup money would be fine if: He were signed to be their high end backup They had a real starter in front of him warranting him to get paid like a high end back up They werent in cap hell It's an awful contract.

Outside of the first period, the sabres were throwing a lot of weak wristers at the net. Without traffic, they were worthless shots. I like how they skated ..but the shots were average

I never hated Adams drafts. His roster construction and cap mngt are my issues.

He is playing fine. He will bust out on a streak bc....he is dahlin and really damn good at hockey. But yeah...the love of his life is in a bad spot. He's human...I'm sure there will be days he is impacted. But I'm not going to worry about him...he's got plenty of family and friends that are doing that already. Go Dahlin!

11 is too much. But...I would've been able to live with it if we didn't have horrible contracts with UPL, Power and Samuelson. Not to mention....Norris's contract which is a direct result of the terrible contract Cozens received. Blows my mind how badly the sabres have bungled their cap situation.

Only watched last 10 minutes...if that is how they played the whole game....that would be encouraging.

Tuch > Audette. And I loved Audettes value to the team he played for

Nice post. Good teams should never exclusively shy away from players in their 30's. If Tuch thrived purely on speed and soft hands, yes, be careful. His game is more balanced and diverse than that. No reason he can't score 30 goals and play decent two way hockey until he is 35-36.

Power, 1st and Rosen/helenius? Not sure sabres can do it w out getting his salary out

If tuch was a forward that lived and died by his speed and stick handling - yes, I would struggle with that contract. Players of his style can play into their mid 30s. Can't be afraid to sign guys in their late 20s and early 30s.

I understand your post. In the end, being a sabres fan has become silliness.
