They clearly made a mistake in hiring Botteril who has proved to be incompetent. However Botteril was highly regarded at the time he was hired. I think the lesson is never to hire a first time GM.

I would only give up a lot if we could extend him prior. Risto, Nylander and next years 2nd rounder would be close.
