    draft lottery is April 15th. NYI will know their draft position before june 1 designation. I think the islanders will be worse next season. assuming this years is 3rd or higher, if I was them, i'd give the sabres this years. also, garth snow won't be around on june 1st to make this decision.

    let's say patty spills the beans, blows this story up even more and really embarrasses Pegula in the process. Q: what are Patty's chances of getting a similar gig with a new team and owner ? A: not as good as if he keeps his mouth shut.

    it was a power struggle.....black, patty, murray, saywer, craig Patrick, nolan all debating their options. i'd say the tipping point was Ryan Miller. Patty & Nolan wanted to offer miller a big contract before trading him, Murray and others wanted to only trade him. pegula ruled trade him, patty lost, realized he didn't have final say and quit.
